What a week it has been on the virtual felts! While Spartan Poker’s ongoing Final Table Series 5.0 sprung up new weekly toppers nearly every day this week, we are eagerly awaiting PokerBaazi’s G.O.A.T to crown a champion and see whether leaderboard toppers get toppled!

For months now, the annual leaderboard standings have been rather monotonous. The talented Anuj Yadav (annual winnings – ₹3.66 Crores) mapped out a steady course of scores this week, collecting a hefty ₹16.94 Lakhs. Needless to say, the Young Gun retained his place at the top of the yearly table, completing 37 weeks as the top-ranked player in the country.

While this part of our weekly ‘Online Rankings’ has remained unchanged, here’s the exciting bit. With an abundance of big-guaranteed MTT series that have played out over the past few weeks, many players already in the top five rankings have moved ahead in leaps and bounds.

One such player is Ashish Ahuja (annual winnings – ₹3.43 Crores). The Chandigarh-based lawyer-turned-poker pro had a sensational week, and he most notably clinched Friday’s ₹1.25 Crores GTD FTS #44 High Roller for his third FTS title. With a weekly haul of ₹38.23 Lakhs, Ahuja has shaken the annual rankings to take up the #2 rank on the yearly leaderboard!

Ahuja`s good friend and flatmate, Arjanveer Singh Chadha (annual winnings – ₹3.35 Crores), was another player who fired up an impressive Friday run, collecting ₹7.30 Lakhs in a single night. Chadha’s Friday scores helped him vault past Sahil Chutani (annual winnings – ₹3.33 Crores) to take up the #3 rank on the annual leaderboard.

Given these recent developments, the POY race has been blown wide open! With the G.O.A.T just hours away from culminating, a top finish by anyone in the top 35 of our annual leaderboard could easily displace Anuj Yadav from his high seat.

Returning to Ahuja’s recent brilliance on the online felts, he collected a whopping ₹56.96 Lakhs through October, topping the month’s list of scorers. Following Ahuja in the October rankings were Young Gun Gaurav Sood (October winnings – ₹54.73 Lakhs) and Gopal Bajaj (October winnings – ₹49.83 Lakhs).

Ahuja’s (weekly winnings – ₹38.23 Lakhs) blockbuster Friday run also makes him the weekly leaderboard topper, with the FTS #20 Sunday Big (6-Max) champion Samay Singh Modi (weekly winnings – ₹27.02 Lakhs) and Ram Mohan Sharma (weekly winnings – ₹24.92 Lakhs) trailing him closely

Yearly Online Rankings

1. Anuj Yadav

Yearly Cashes – ₹3,65,68,374

Yearly Profit – ₹1,77,97,312

Yearly Leaderboard Points – 43,824

We have said this time and again Young Gun Anuj Yadav is a force to be reckoned with. This week with at least ₹16.94 Lakhs in weekly winnings, the elusive pro has again held on to his lead on the annual leaderboard. On a side note: these figures are not exhaustive since Yadav has opted out of our tracking.

With deep runs in Spartan Poker’s FTS #44 High Roller (6-Max) (4th for ₹11,43,750) and FTS #39 Monster Stack (4th for ₹4,92,506), and PokerBaazi’s The MoneyMaker (49th for ₹57,150), Yadav has completed 36 weeks as the #1 ranked player of the year, setting a new record as the longest-running POY topper.

Any of the top 35-ranked players on the annual rankings can displace Yadav from his POY throne if they take down the G.O.A.T tonight. Given how closely contested the POY race has become, at this point, this is a genuine possibility!

2. Ashish Ahuja

Yearly Cashes – ₹3,51,47,191

Yearly Profit – ₹1,39,79,380

Yearly Leaderboard Points – 56,204

If there is one player who can give Yadav a run for his money for the POY title, it is Ashish Ahuja. This week, the WSOP Online Circuit ring winner’s blistering form saw him champion the FTS #44 High Roller for a career-best ₹28.66 Lakhs. Ahuja also made two runners-up finishes on PokerStars India, including Sunday Special – Progressive KO (2nd for ₹2,00,115) and The Big Bash [PKO] (2nd for ₹1,82,380).

Ahuja had more reasons to celebrate, for he cracked the ₹13 Crore mark in tracked online winnings and ₹5 Crores in net profits! Ahuja accumulated a noteworthy ₹37.26 Lakhs this week, and his spell-bounding performance propelled him to the #2 rank on the annual leaderboard. With less than ₹15 Lakhs separating Yadav and Ahuja, a deep run in the G.O.A.T can push Ahuja into the top spot!
