Online Rankings: Dhinesh Kumar Storms to the Top of the Weekly/ Monthly Charts, Anuj Yadav Less Than 2 Weeks Away From Clinching POY Title

In this feature, we bring you to the top three weekly, monthly, and yearly performers every Sunday. These rankings are based on cumulative winnings (cashes). We have to hand it to Young Gun Anuj Yadav (annual winnings – ₹4.51 Crores), who has completed a record-extending 43 consecutive weeks as the #1 ranked player on the yearly leaderboard today. Yadav’s scoring pace has not slowed, with the year-end less than two weeks away. He has made it challenging for us to account for his accurate stats by opting out of our tracking. Still, from the scores we could manually verify, Yadav, notched up a very respectable ₹25.70 Lakhs this week, with an equally enviable ₹21.06 Lakhs in net profits!

Yadav’s most prominent performance was on Sunday when he raked in at least ₹17.89 Lakhs on the back of deep finishes in headliners like the LEGEND Main Event, APT Online India Main Event, and the LEGEND Sunday Magnate. He also took down The Summit mid-week, extending his record-crushing reign as the year`s top-ranked player!

The #2 ranked player of the year, Ashish Ahuja (annual winnings – ₹4.07 Crores), pocketed ₹4.63 Lakhs, and the #3 ranked Arjanveer Singh Chadha (annual winnings – ₹3.90 Crores) added ₹3.76 Lakhs, maintaining their respective ranks in the POY race.

Last Sunday, Dhinesh Kumar (monthly winnings – ₹63.84 Lakhs) added another worthy title to his expansive poker resume by taking down the guarantee-smashing 2,549-player field in Spartan Poker`s Legend Poker Series Main Event for a career-best ₹29.91 Lakhs. He made another three deep runs in the Main Event, netting ₹30.74 Lakhs overall, and chopped the top prize three-way with Armaan Kochhar and Pradip Ghosh.

Kumar’s sublime Sunday run catapulted him to the top of the weekly charts and helped him bypass several consistent crushers for a direct entry at the #1 position in the December standings with a massive ₹46.24 Lakhs in monthly earnings.

The LEGEND #49 – High Roller champion Mahesh Shyamsundar (monthly winnings – ₹54.49 Lakhs) and Armaan Kochhar (monthly winnings – ₹42.25 Lakhs) round out the top echelons of the December standings.

While Dhinesh Kumar (weekly winnings – ₹34.54 Lakhs) made the weekly headlines, the other LEGEND Main Event podium finishers, Armaan Kochhar (weekly winnings – ₹30.98 Lakhs) and Pradip Ghosh (weekly winnings – ₹26.90 Lakhs) finished #2 and #3 in the weekly rankings.

The 2020 Full House champion Dhinesh Kumar pulled out a blinder in Spartan Poker’s LEGEND Poker Series Main Event last Sunday, netting a jaw-dropping ₹29.92 Lakhs* (3-way deal) in first-place prize money. He had three other stacks in play on Day 2 of the LPS showstopper, scoring through all of them for ₹30.54 Lakhs overall.

Kumar had ten scores dotting his online resume this past week, three of them FT finishes, for a weekly haul worth ₹34.54 Lakhs.

If that was not enough, he made a top finish in PokerBaazi’s APT#51 Main Event (2nd for ₹1.29 Lakhs) on the same day.
