The online action was hit by technical glitches in the last week of July, with two major platforms facing disruptions due to sever-related issues. But things have back on track with a bang as three major online series are running simultaneously across different sites.
Featuring on top of this week`s leaderboard is well-known poker reg Goonjan Mall. The entrepreneur-cum MTT specialist accumulated ₹15.13 Lakhs in winnings through the week from four FT finishes that included two flagship titles! The majority of this loot came from his runner-up finish in the GPS High Roller for ₹8.97 Lakhs.
PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek Singh makes to the #2 position on the weekly rankings on the back of his AOPS Godfather victory! Sajjan Barnwal`s three AOPS titles, specifically his AOPS Mini Highroller victory, earned him the #3 spot.
Since this was the first week of August, we have not canvassed the monthly standings since they exactly mirror the week’s rankings.
While the weekly charts have been very dynamic, the same cannot be said of the yearly leaderboard that has witnessed significantly less movement, at least at the top. Young Gun Gaurav Sood has become an almost permanent fixture at the top, and this week he extended his dominance as the #1 player in the country for a record 13th week. He added ₹5.13 Lakhs to his annual tally that is presently standing at ₹2.69 Crores.
The top three places on the yearly leaderboard remained unchanged. Sriharsha Doddpaneni continues to hold the #2 position behind Sood with ₹2.33 Crores in annual winnings. He also retains the distinction of being the most profitable player this year (so far) with ₹1.31 Crores in gross profits. Sood is a very close second with ₹1.3 Crores.
Anant Purohit, for the third week in a row, takes up the third spot in the annual rankings.
