The final week of October proved lackluster as far as the online MTT action was concerned. Barring PokerBaazi`s EndBoss, the rest of the week was the regular fare, and on most days, poker platforms struggled to fill in guarantees amidst the festive celebrations.

The annual leaderboard is bristling with nerve-wracking movement, and clearly, the race for the number #1 spot has got more intense! Young Gun Gaurav Sood completes his 13th straight week on top of the charts, but Manish Lakhotia is fast closing in. This week, both Sood and Lakhotia posted several top finishes, but Lakhotia made significant headway by raking in almost ₹14 Lakhs and is just ₹5.32 Lakhs behind Sood.

Gaurav Sood is still the undisputed #1 numero uno player as far as annual profits are concerned, with PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh, who is stuck at the #3 spot in the yearly leaderboard, ranking #2 on the profit charts.

The second edition of PokerBaazi`s EndBoss was the week`s biggest story. A 31-year-old computer scientist from MIT, Ishaan Chugh, overcame the massive 4,816-player field in India`s biggest online poker tournament to become the latest EndBoss champion! He chopped the title three-way to win ₹71.48 Lakhs. Chugh, the CEO of Abacus – a boutique AI consulting firm, not only landed himself the week’s biggest payday but also closed out October as the month’s winningest player!

Like Chugh, the EndBoss runner-up and third-place finishers – Dhiraj Lakhotia and Divanshu Khurana – dominated the monthly and the weekly leaderboards. If Lakhotia ranked second behind Chugh in the October rankings, pushing Khurana to third, the duo traded places in the weekly standings where Khurana emerged as the more prominent scorer, and Lakhotia took the #3 spot.

Ishaan Chugh, a 31-year-old computer scientist from MIT and an AI researcher by profession, entered the history books this past week after taking down the second edition of India`s biggest online poker tournament, PokerBaazi`s ₹5 Cores GTD EndBoss.

Chugh had received a free ticket from PokerBaazi to play the EndBoss after failing to qualify through one of the earlier flights, and what do you know, he went on to ship it.

The event guaranteed ₹1 Crore to the champion, but Chugh took the more prudent route and cut a three-way deal to secure himself a career-best ₹71.48 Lakhs, a score that sprung him to the top of the weekly and monthly leaderboard standings.
