The annual leaderboard is witnessing a fiercely contested three-way battle between PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh, Young Gun Gaurav Sood, and Manish Lakhotia. The trio has been taking turns one-upping each other to claim the ‘numero uno’ rank on the 2021 leaderboard standings.

And this week, the honor belongs to Laksh Pal Singh! The Young Gun ran hot all through the week. He jumped over Manish Lakhotia and Gaurav Sood to clinch the top berth on May 4 following a deep run in Spartan Poker’s Millionaire Series #2 – Double Stack. A flurry of third-place finishes followed, keeping Singh put on top. However, the poker prodigy literally ran away with the lead on Thursday when he took down The Millionaire Series 2.0 Event #8 High Roller for a colossal ₹17.24 Lakhs, his third seven-figure score of the year.

Young Gun Gaurav Sood was busy doing what he does best this week. While not quite matching up to Singh`s exploits, the MTT phenom delivered a smashing runner-up finish in the Millionaire Series #8 The Elite last night to solidify his hold on the #2 rank on the annual leaderboard. He is currently trailing Laksh Pal Singh by almost ₹10.81 Lakhs.

Manish Lakhotia, on the other hand, had a relatively quiet week, causing him to slip down two spots to #3 in the annual rankings.

We are just into the fifth month of the year, and already 16 players have crossed the ₹1 Crore-mark in annual winnings.

Moving onto the weekly charts, Laksh Pal Singh‘s stellar run booked him the #1 rank on the weekly standings. Last Sunday`s The Millionaire champion Devrat Singh is placed second, while PokerBaazi’s The Endeavour winner Myron Pereira rounds out the top three ranks.

NOTE: Since this is the start of a new month, the May rankings mirror the weekly leaderboard standings and have not been covered separately.
