As we entered the third month of the year, the virtual felts were teeming with action with Spartan Poker’s SVS and PokerBaazi’s PPL, keeping the poker community busy.

The head-turner this week was Manoj Pentakota, who took down The Millionaire Legends on March 1 for ₹41.33 Lakhs, becoming the second player to-date to win the Millionaire twice! However, Anurag Srivastava’s spectacular run in The Millionaire Main Event in mid-February has helped him retain his top spot in the yearly online rankings.

Two-time Millionaire champion Manoj Pentakota sits on top of this week’s online rankings, with veteran pro Raghav Bansal coming in second and Anmol Mehta rounding out the top three finishers.

Old-timer Manoj Pentakota made headlines at the start of the week (March 1) when he took down Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire Legends ₹1.5 Crores GTD for ₹41.33 Lakhs. The long-time pro shares an interesting relationship with this particular event since he is only the second player so far to win this flagship event twice, after Phanindra Akkina. Pentakota was, in fact, the very first Millionaire champion way back in September 2016, when he had shipped the inaugural Millionaire Edition for ₹10.61 Lakhs.

In fact, he was one of the top five online scorers of 2019. The 20-year-old already has recorded online winnings of ₹2.03 Crores.

Yearly Online Rankings

Headlining the online ranking for the year (to date) is unsurprisingly Anurag Srivastava, who had added ₹75.29 Lakhs to his bankroll in the span of a week in mid-February. Joining him on the podium is poker icon Aditya Agarwal who has been running deep in almost all the big-ticket events across the major online poker sites, ever since he parted ways with PokerStars India in December last year. Rounding out the top three yearly finishers in Manoj Pentakota, whose blistering run this week has earned him a third-place spot in the yearly rankings.

Anurag Srivastava has had quite a fulfilling year thus far. After a mind-boggling run on February 9 that saw him not only win Spartan Poker’s IOPC Millionaire Main Event for a whopping ₹60.34 Lakhs but also pick up three more scores in the same event, taking his total winnings in the event to ₹69.26 Lakhs, he has been continually adding to his ever-expanding bankroll. His present total online winnings stand at ₹2.98 Crore that includes 54 titles!
