With the 53rd annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) now over, most players from the Indian contingent in Las Vegas have made their way back home. A sizable Indian group made an appearance at the APT Summer Festival Hanoi -VSOP that wrapped up today.

With the two major live events with sizable Indian participation wrapping up, the competition in offline events has become stiffer.

Young Gun Anuj Yadav officially enters his 22nd week as the year’s top scorer. Yadav was part of the large Indian contingent in Vietnam for the APT Summer Festival and kept a relatively low profile in his online exploits, adding a modest ₹2.25 Lakhs throughout the week. He is still the POY race frontrunner with ₹2.81 Crores in annual winnings and the second-most profitable player of the year, with ₹1.44 Crores in net profits.

The annual leaderboard reflected no change in the top three order, with Young Guns Sahil Chutani and Arsh Grover retaining their #2 and the #3 positions, respectively. While Grover was MIA from online MTTs this week, Chutani pulled out another trailblazing run – he accumulated over ₹10 Lakhs primarily on the back of defending the Thursday High Roller title. The most profitable player of the year, Chutani, is the only one after Yadav to have won over ₹2.50 Crores in 2022 (₹2.58 Crores) and boasts a jaw-dropping ₹1.78 Crores in annual profits. Chutani`s current form makes him an imminent threat to Yadav in the POY race.

The July leaderboard underwent a massive upheaval this week. Aayush Arya, ranked #3 in the monthly standings last week, sprinted to the top spot after a sublime Friday run, where he captured PokerBaazi’s The Weekly High Roller and Spartan Poker’s The Elite. Arya raked in a hefty ₹11.04 Lakhs over the week, growing his July tally to ₹45.79 Lakhs.

Last week’s July leaderboard topper, the APT#42 Super Highroller champion Vikranth Varma has slipped to #2. At the same time, this week`s Ultron winner, PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh Chadha, has climbed two positions to #3.

PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun Mahesh has taken charge of the weekly rankings after a whirlwind performance. He final-tabled Spartan Poker`s ITM #49 Main Event and Friday Highroller, accumulating ₹13.70 Lakhs across his weekly run. Mohammad Azhar and Siddharth Gangwar round out the top three names on the weekly charts.
