Even though no other MTT pro could come close to disrupting Young Gun Gaurav Sood’s dominating run in the last two years, another one of our Young Gun`s Anuj Yadav looks determined to give him competition this year! Yadav has stuck to his winning ways after topping the charts in the last two months of 2021, working up an early lead in the January (and 2022) leaderboard standings!

The 25-year-old reclusive pro, Anuj Yadav, has been on a trailblazing run these last two weeks, notching up several significant scores, most notably placing fifth in PokerBaazi’s ₹2 Crores GTD PBC#15 Game Changer for ₹9.18 Lakhs. His monthly tally reflects an impressive ₹26.04 Lakhs, and the Noida-based player sits on a hefty ₹19.34 Lakhs in profits!

It’s been an electrifying start to the New Year for poker players with the inaugural PokerBaazi Classics and now PokerStars India`s Winter Series running their course! Wait, there`s more with the 12th edition of the IOPC due to start next week, setting the stage for some BIG winners early in the year!

Tallying the weekly scores, Sonu Shejpal topped the weekly charts! The relatively lesser-known player makes his debut in this weekly column on the back of his winning run in the PokerBaazi Classics Finale, the PBC#15 Game Changer. Shejpal decimated the 3,807-player field in the ₹2 Crores GTD Game Changer, eventually striking a four-way deal to collect a career-defining ₹25.45 Lakhs! Shejpal’s thundering victory not only put him on top of the weekly charts but also put him to #2 in the monthly standings.

Young Gun Siddhanth Kripalani rounds out the top three names on the monthly charts.

The weekly leaderboard was a close race this time around, and following Shejpal and Anuj Yadav is the Game Changer third-place finisher, Avish Sharma.
