A rather slow week on the virtual felts was headlined by PokerStars India extending its Boosted Guarantee tournaments. It’s getting busy from Sunday again with Spartan Poker’s XXX Poker Series and PokerBaazi’s Baazi Turbo Series (BTS) coming up. Two weeks into November, Young Gun Anuj Yadav (annual winnings – ₹3.70 Crores) completes 38 weeks as the top-ranked player in the country. Though Yadav has opted out, making it difficult for us to track his scores, he pulled three standout scores, lapping a hefty ₹14.18 Lakhs. Yadav’s best run was in the Adda52 Big Millions. The event’s final table took place live in Goa on Saturday, and the young phenom placed fourth in the tourney, collecting a ₹11.75 Lakhs payday.
Rallying hot behind Yadav Ashish Ahuja (annual winnings – ₹3.57 Crores). Ahuja, a former lawyer, has been piling up scores. Carrying his form from last Friday when he lapped up a career-best 30.83 Lakhs by shipping the FTS #44 High Roller (6-Max), Ahuja pulled another two runner-up finishes, adding to ₹5.52 Lakhs in weekly cashes. Ahuja’s spectacular November show has vaulted him straight to the #2 rank on the annual leaderboard, and he poses a considerable and real threat to Anuj Yadav in the 2022 POY race.
Taking up the #3 rank is Arjanveer Singh Chadha (annual winnings – ₹3.43 Crores), who added ₹7.65 Lakhs to his scorecard this week on the back of five top-10 finishes, which include a title victory in Spartan Poker’s Mega Stack (₹3.10 Lakhs).
PokerBaazi’s ₹7 Crores GTD G.O.A.T lived up to the hype on Sunday, drawing a gigantic field of 7,233 entries to collect a whopping ₹7.20 Crores in prize money! Rohit Kumar (monthly winnings – ₹95.14 Lakhs), a 35-year-old data scientist at Walmart, walked away with bragging rights and a personal-best online score of ₹94.69 Lakhs. Kumar, who has been playing poker for over five years, struck a heads-up deal with Puneet Sachan (monthly winnings – ₹68.81 Lakhs). His singular victory has vaulted Kumar to the top of the November rankings.
Sachan, who collected ₹68.73 Lakhs as the G.O.A.T runner-up, takes up the #2 rank on the November leaderboard.
Following the duo on the November charts is the high-stakes crusher Sajal Gupta (monthly winnings – ₹40.33 Lakhs). On Sunday, as Kumar and Sachan were battling their way past the humungous field in the G.O.A.T, Gupta overcame a guarantee-crushing 646-player field in Spartan Poker’s ₹2 Crores GTD FTS #56 Main Event to pocket a personal-best ₹39.67 Lakhs.
With such huge scores, the trio of Rohit Kumar (weekly winnings – ₹94.69 Lakhs), Puneet Sachan (weekly winnings – ₹68.81 Lakhs), and Sajal Gupta (weekly winnings – ₹40.22 Lakhs) are the week’s top scorers as well.

November began with a bang, with the country’s biggest-ever online poker tournament, the PokerBaazi-hosted ₹7 Crores GTD G.O.A.T making its much-awaited run. The event registered a mind-boggling 7,233 entries, and a relatively lesser-known player, Rohit Kumar, topped the massive competition. Kumar, a data scientist hailing from Patna, etched his name in history after he raced to the finish line, where he cut a heads-up deal to claim the title and a life-changing ₹94.69 Lakhs in prize money. As the first-ever G.O.A.T of Indian online poker, Kumar has swept away the weekly leaderboard while taking charge of the November rankings as well!
