With the number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rising with each passing day, the Indian government had no choice but to extend the lockdown till May 3. With live events now entirely out of the picture for the foreseeable future, the online traffic has spiked to quite an extent with leading poker sites hosting big-ticket tourneys and attractive series every week.

This past week, it was Adda52’s AOPS and Spartan Poker’s SSS series that captured the attention of the poker circuit. The magnum opus of the week was undoubtedly the AOPS Main Event Finale ₹2 Crores GTD that crowned a champion in well-known reg and poker coach Sahil Agarwal. The champion banked a career-best ₹50 Lakhs that not only helped him capture the lead in the weekly rankings but also catapulted him to the top spot on the monthly leaderboard!

With a blockbuster run in Adda52’s AOPS Main Event Finale ₹2 Crores GTD, seasoned pro Sahil Agarwal sealed his spot at the top of the weekly rankings. Joining Agarwal on the podium were Avneesh Munjal and Sajal Gupta, who rounded out the top three performers.

Young Gun Ujjwal Narwal, who shipped Spartan Poker’s SSS#55 Super High Roller ₹65 Lakhs GTD last night for ₹19.49 Lakhs, should have also featured on the weekly list. However, since he has opted out of SharkScope, his scores have not been taken into account for this feature.
