The writing was on the wall for several weeks now, and the story played out just as expected, with Young Gun Anuj Yadav (annual winnings – ₹3.54 Crores) officially setting a new benchmark for anyone looking to make it big in poker. Ten months into 2022, the online phenom has dominated the annual leaderboard for an unprecedented 35 weeks straight, overshadowing Gaurav Sood`s tall 34-week record from 2020.
Yadav is enjoying a safe reign as the annual leaderboard topper, but the underway ₹7 Crores GTD G.O.A.T. – India’s biggest online poker tournament – can potentially turn things around drastically.
Even though Yadav’s weekly earnings were less than average, the #2 ranked Sahil Chutani (annual winnings – ₹3.33 Crores) went completely MIA shortly after the cheating allegations were leveled at him. While Chutani does not have a single reported score on any of the top platforms we track throughout October, he played the EPT London Main Event, finishing 44th for £12,900 Sahil Chutani (annual profits – ₹2.31 Crores), like Yadav, has no immediate competition on the yearly profits leaderboard.
The #3 ranked player of the year, Arjanveer Singh Chadha (annual winnings – ₹3.24 Crores), fared the best of the trio, reeling in ₹7.83 Lakhs. With Chutani bowing out of the POY race, Chadha has an almost lock on the #2 spot if he keeps up the grind.
The fourth-ranked player on the annual rankings, Ashish Ahuja (monthly winnings – ₹52.79 Lakhs), climbed three spots in the October rankings this week, displacing Young Gun Aayush Arya from the top. Ahuja raked in over ₹12.28 Lakhs, most prominently shipping Adda52 Millions last Sunday.
Young Gun Gaurav Sood (monthly winnings – ₹52.22 Lakhs) and Gopal Bajaj (monthly winnings – ₹49.27 Lakhs) are close behind Ahuja in the October standings. No one can rule out the possibility of a churn in the top order over the massive weekend ahead.
Shashank Shekhar (weekly winnings – ₹21.41 Lakhs) rules the weekly charts. The BITS Pilani passout finished runner-up in Spartan Poker`s Sunday Superstack and fired up podium finishes in two FTS flagships on Friday, putting up an impressive ₹11.25 Lakhs in weekly earnings.
The FTS #10 Friday Big champion, Gaurav Sood (weekly winnings – ₹20.28 Lakhs), and the FTS #5 Thursday Big runner-up finisher, Young Gun Neel Joshi (weekly winnings – ₹13.85 Lakhs) were the week`s other top scorers.

Yearly Online Rankings
1. Anuj Yadav
Yearly Cashes – ₹3,53,67,474
Yearly Profit – ₹1,66,96,412
Yearly Leaderboard Points – 43,824
Young Gun Anuj Yadav is now the longest-running POY topper, having completed 35 magnificent weeks as the year`s top-ranked player of the year. Yadav pulled out of our tracking earlier in the month, and we had to add his scores manually. Hence, admitting the figures are conservative, his reported winnings stand at a modest four figures.
However, factoring in his current lead and Chutani`s absence, someone in the top 35 of our annual rankings would have to bink the GOAT to displace him from the top of the POY rankings.
