Happy Puja, folks! The time for festivities has begun. We in West Bengal are regaling “Ma Durga,” celebrating her arrival on Earth – as mythology says! It’s been a busy week for our Desi online grinders, and the series to catch was Spartan Poker’s India Turbo Masters 2.0, where the action began on September 3 and will be winding up tonight!

Poker is more than just a game. It’s a way of living, a never-ending passion that can consume you and change the course of your life. It’s gushing to see the new crop of players take the felts. For months, we’ve talked about Young Gun Anuj Yadav (annual winnings – ₹3.38 Crores) and how he has dominated the domestic online action for 31 weeks.

Just as Yadav gets closer than ever to breaching Young Gun Gaurav Sood’s 34-week leaderboard topping streak in 2020, the competition has become neck-to-neck on the 2022 POY rankings! Yadav collected a handsome ₹7.40 Crores, maintaining rank as the winningest player of 2022.

The recent cheating allegations aside, the #2 ranked Young Gun Sahil Chutani (annual winnings – ₹3.23 Crores) was the week`s breakout winner! He lapped up a whopping ₹22.03 Lakhs, intensifying the competition at the top of the POY race! While his reputation in the poker community has taken a significant hit, his profits tally for the year still stands the tallest at ₹2.23 Crores.

PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh Chadha (annual winnings – ₹2.90 Crores) comes in at #3 in the annual rankings again! The MTT pro added almost ₹9.90 Lakhs this week, doing enough to keep Young Gun Arsh Grover (annual winnings – ₹2.81 Crores) an arm`s length away!

Grover accumulated a whopping ₹15.34 Lakhs this week on the back of trailblazing performances like his Sunday victory in Spartan Poker`s ITM #16 Sunday Supersonic worth ₹8.50 Lakhs. He also won The Big Show on PokerBaazi for ₹1.99 Lakhs later in the week, pulling another two top 10 finishes. Looking at his form, we’d say the annual POY race will remain very heated over the coming weeks, and we may well see significant upheavals.

The Millionaire Series 5.0 Main Event champion Vinayak Bajaj (monthly winnings – ₹68.19 Lakhs) extended his lead in the September standings for the third straight week, closing the month in pole position. Bajaj has been on a run of a lifetime, and even though this was a relatively slow week for him, with just ₹3.52 Lakhs in total winning, Bajaj dominated the September leaderboard with a significant lead over the competition.

Following Bajaj is Aditya Singh (monthly winnings – ₹58.21 Lakhs), who finished #2 in the September standings, netting almost ₹14.94 Lakhs across his weekly run.

Vishal Bajaj (monthly winnings – ₹46.57 Lakhs) is the third-ranked player of the month. Bajaj made a late sprint this week, shipped Spartan Poker`s ITM #18 – Blizzard last Sunday for a mouth-watering ₹15.66 Lakhs. Bajaj also won the Maverick on Adda52 later in the week, closing out an immensely successful week with ₹24.85 Lakhs in total winnings.

Vishal Bajaj’s (weekly winnings – ₹24.95 Lakhs) trailblazing run made him the week`s MVP, with Sahil Chutani (weekly winnings – ₹22.03 Lakhs) and Vishnu Khandelwal (weekly winnings – ₹15.72 Lakhs) rounding out the top three names on the weekly charts.
