May has blasted onto the digital felt with serious energy! PokerBaazi brought back its iconic The MoneyMaker for a daily run starting May 1 – the ₹1 Crore GTD single-flight behemoth is running daily for the second time after last April’s The MoneyMaker Mania. That means seven-figure paydays and championship bracelets are up for grabs every single day for 31 days straight, and it’s already shaking up the leaderboards!

But that’s not all the action. The virtual tables are buzzing everywhere, with massive guarantees on Natural8 India (including the Omaholic Series 2025), a beefed-up flagship schedule over at Adda52 (featuring the ₹1.50 Crores GTD Masterminds Arena Bounty Series), and Junglee Poker’s ₹7.50 Crores GTD Poker Premiere League (PPL) keeping the pots boiling as we charge into the summer season.

The intensity is sky-high, with huge money changing hands across all major platforms. Another big Sunday is underway, promising more leaderboard turbulence. Yet, for now, the very peak of the 2025 Player of the Year (POY) mountain remains firmly held by the familiar top trio – they just won’t let go!

The Unshakeable Peak: Goyal’s POY Dominance Extends to 13 Weeks

Tarun Goyal just keeps rolling. His reign at the top of the 2025 Player of the Year (POY) leaderboard enters its 13th consecutive week. Let’s not forget his monumental 2024, where he pulled in ₹12.39 Crores in tracked winnings and nearly ₹10 Crores in profits – a performance that set a new standard in Indian online poker history.

Considering the competition these days, that run could arguably be called the greatest single-year performance ever by an Indian player. Goyal carried that momentum straight into 2025, igniting the scene with an unbelievable February heater that netted him ₹2.74 Crores and gave him a commanding early POY lead.

After a slightly quieter period, he roared back onto Natural8 India last week, taking fifth in the Bounty Hunters HR 525 for a whopping ₹22.81 Lakhs and topping the weekly charts with ₹22.82 Lakhs overall. This past week was less flashy, but he still managed to finish April ranked #4 on the monthly leaderboard, adding ₹26.95 Lakhs in winnings and ₹16.17 Lakhs in profits.

Goyal’s 2025 total now stands at a mind-blowing ₹4.72 Crores in winnings and ₹2.67 Crores in profits. He maintains nearly a 20% edge over his nearest competitor in the POY race. It’s a significant cushion, but the footsteps behind him are getting louder. The pressure is definitely building.

The Relentless Pursuer: Anand Purohit Takes Back-to-Back Monthly Titles (March & April)

Anant Purohit, synonymous with challenging Goyal after finishing as the 2024 POY runner-up, remains the primary threat in the 2025 race. He’s maintained incredible consistency, putting in serious volume, especially on Natural8 India. His game-changing moment came in late March with that spectacular ₹1.92 Crores win in the PLOSSUS Bounty 400. That victory didn’t just make him March’s biggest earner; it also took a serious chunk out of Goyal’s lead in the annual standings.

Purohit didn’t ease up in April. He kept attacking the Natural8 India Omaholic events, highlighted by impressive back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Omaholic Bounty Hunters HR 525 (₹12.98 Lakhs) and the Omaholic Sunday Bounty Big Game 215 (₹6.55 Lakhs). These results helped him finish April at the very top of the monthly heap, (making him the monthly topper again), banking ₹34.97 Lakhs in winnings and ₹21.43 Lakhs in profits (Note: Leaderboard calculations exclude anonymous Natural8 India users ‘Raskal,’ ‘BollywoodBlinds,’ and ‘Bryant_24‘).

Purohit’s annual figures are now ₹3.97 Crores in winnings and ₹1.17 Crores in profits. The narrative is clear: the 2025 POY race looks set to be another intense head-to-head between these two titans, echoing last year’s battle. Purohit is gaining momentum, and this fight looks like it will go the full twelve rounds.

Holding the Line at #3: Ankit Bajaj Stays Firm in the POY Chase

Ankit Bajaj continues to hold down the #3 position on the 2025 POY leaderboard, right behind the leading pair of Goyal and Purohit. While the distance to the top two is still considerable, Bajaj’s steady play keeps him relevant in the conversation.

His massive ₹1 Crore mystery bounty score on Natural8 India on March 2 was the moment that thrust him into the POY spotlight. It wasn’t just his first eight-figure tournament payday; it placed him in an exclusive club of only six Indian players ever to hit that mark. That performance definitely shifted the dynamics at the top of the POY standings.

Since that breakthrough, Bajaj has been steadily adding to his results. While this past week was relatively slow, his 2025 stats remain impressive: ₹1.46 Crores in total winnings and ₹91.02 Lakhs in profits. With the poker year heating up, one more significant finish could dramatically change his position and apply real pressure on the leaders.

Below the Summit: The Battle Intensifies for POY Top-Tier Spots

While the top three POY spots haven’t changed this week, the action just beneath them is getting intense. With Ankit Bajaj not posting major scores recently, his grip on #3 might be loosening, and the challengers are edging closer. Right in the thick of it is the perpetually consistent Advait Rajguru, who has climbed back to #4 after a brief dip last week. A top-five POY finisher in 2024 and a cornerstone of the PokerGuru Staking coaching roster, Rajguru remains within striking distance, now holding ₹1.35 Crores in winnings and ₹82.55 Lakhs in profits.

Rajneesh Thakur, known for his incredible volume and constant presence near the top of TLB leaderboards, slides one spot to #5. His relentless grind keeps him dangerous, pushing his 2025 earnings to ₹1.32 Crores with ₹52.90 Lakhs in profits.

Close behind at #6 is Pratik Manjrekar. The Poker Bootcamp India standout, remembered for his runner-up finish in the 2023 EndBoss Special Edition and third place in the historic NPS India 2025 Main Event, continues to post solid results. His 2025 stats show ₹1.25 Crores in winnings and ₹86.85 Lakhs in profits.

The middle of the pack is bunching up, and momentum is shifting quickly – a single large score could easily rearrange the standings again.

Sanat Mehrotra’s April Assault: Young Gun Claims Monthly #2

Young Gun Sanat Mehrotra put together one of his most powerful months to date, stringing together a fantastic run of results to land at #2 on the April monthly leaderboard. He collected ₹31.10 Lakhs in winnings and a scorching ₹24.61 Lakhs in profits for the month. His April was highlighted by a stunning four flagship titles on Adda52, including victories in the Mystery Bounty (₹3.54 Lakhs), Head Hunter (₹4.01 Lakhs), The Ballers (₹4.01 Lakhs), and Godfather (₹3.76 Lakhs). Multiple runner-up finishes further padded his stellar month.

Ashwin Vijayvergiya’s Strong April Finish: Locking Down #3 Monthly

Young Gun Ashwin Vijayvergiya also wrapped up a highly productive April, confirming his #3 spot on the monthly leaderboard with ₹27.48 Lakhs collected and ₹22.17 Lakhs in the black.

Rounding Out April’s Top Contenders

As April closed, the top of the monthly leaderboard remained hotly contested. Tarun Goyal, after a brief lull earlier in the month, found his groove again to finish #4 in the monthly race with ₹26.94 Lakhs won and ₹16.16 Lakhs profited.

His Friday night performance alone was phenomenal, netting him ₹18.66 Lakhs. He also added a strong runner-up finish in The Quest for another ₹3 Lakhs. This stellar week pushed his tracked online profits beyond the ₹2 Crore mark, signalling a powerful return to form for this established crusher.

Career High For Prasit Chowdhury: MoneyMaker Win Lands Him Weekly #3

Howrah’s Prasit Chowdhury, famous for his 2023 WPT Prime India Main Event victory, added another significant achievement this week. Chowdhury banked ₹15 Lakhs in weekly winnings with ₹14.37 Lakhs in profits, earning him the third spot on the weekly leaderboard.
