In this feature, we bring you to the top three weekly, monthly, and yearly performers every Sunday. These rankings are based on cumulative winnings (cashes). However, the rankings only include players registered to our online ranking system, so hurry up and register if you haven’t signed up on PokerGuru yet,!

We have almost lost the habit of checking the top three positions on the annual leaderboard, looking at how the standings haven’t changed in over a month. Young Gun Gaurav Sood is still the player to catch – in both winnings and profits – on the annual standings, and given his recent form, we could very easily see him repeat his dominating run on the charts for a second consecutive year. The 25-year-old dentist-turned-poker pro collected close to ₹8.53 Lakhs this week, completing four straight weeks as the top-ranked player in the country. Sporting ₹3.34 Crore in annual winnings and ₹1.66 Crore in corresponding profits, Sood retains his status as the most profitable player of the year.

Manish Lakhotia and PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh maintain the status quo at the #2 and #3 positions in the annual rankings.

The first Indian to cross ₹10 Crores in recorded online winnings, Gaurav Sood has created an almost ₹30 Lakhs distance on his closest competitor Manish Lakhotia. However, PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh is fast closing in on Lakhotia with under ₹5 Lakhs separating him from the #2 position.

Since we are still in the first week of September, we will skip the monthly recap, which essentially stands the same as the weekly rankings.

Making his debut at the top on the weekly charts is Kushal Sogani, a former Full House champion and Adda52 regular who etched his name in the history books on Sunday after winning the ₹3 Crores GTD WPT India Main Event. He banked a whopping ₹47.45 Lakhs for the win, also placing fourth in the WPT 3000 for ₹1.37 Lakhs. Sogani added ₹48.82 Lakhs this past week.

Two other top crushers round out the top three places on the weekly charts. 27-year-old Mohammad Azhar, famous for his NPS Main Event victory, made a runner-up finish to Kushal Sogani in the WPT India Main Event, collecting ₹34.02 Lakhs. On Thursday, Azhar also won The Big Deal, closing out an immensely successful week with ₹43.33 Lakhs in total earnings and ₹38.38 Lakhs in corresponding profits.

Young Gun Anuj Yadav sits at #3 on the weekly charts. Although our annual leaderboard standings typically only feature players who have opted in on our tracking, we had to make an exception for Yadav this week, considering the significance of his results. Although we have a caveat here – since he is opted out of tracking, his scores have been added manually and are incomplete. The 25-year-old from Noida won his second ‘The Millionaire’ title on Spartan Poker on Sunday and shipped The Elite on Friday. His top finishes through the week tallied up to ₹28.14 Lakhs and ₹27.37 Lakhs in profits.

Last Sunday was one of the most explosive this year, and a large part of the credit goes to the ₹3 Crores GTD WPT India Main Event that played down to a winner on Adda52. A total of 227 qualifiers had converged for Day 2, and outlasting them all was the relatively lesser-known Kushal Sogani.

The former Full House champion defeated Mohammad Azhar in the final showdown, winning the top prize of ₹47.45 Lakhs, the WPT trophy, a Hublot watch, and a WPT Passport worth $5,000

The same evening, Sogani added another ₹1.37 Lakhs on the back of his fourth-place finish in the WPT 3000. He collected a life-changing ₹48.82 Lakhs on Sunday, assuring himself the #1 position on the weekly charts.
