The 2020 Poker Masters Online is just two days away from wrapping up. The 15-day-long tournament series is underway on partypoker since April 12.
The popular Poker Masters series, like many other live stops, had to be shifted online because of the health crisis emanating from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Since our last recap from the series, six more events have crowned champions. The most prominent winners were undoubtedly Pauli Ayras and Pascal Lefrancois, with both of them winning their second title at the ongoing series. While Ayras shipped the Poker Masters #19: $25,000 No-Limit Hold ’em for $548,625, Lefrancois took down the Poker Masters #23: $25,500 Pot Limit Omaha for $527,510.
Rounding out the other prominent winners were Dan Smith (Poker Masters #21: $25,500 No-Limit Hold ’em for $511,875), Ali Imsirovic (Poker Masters #24 $10,300 No-Limit Hold ’em for $277,097) and Steve O’Dwyer (Poker Masters #20: $10,300 No-Limit Hold ’em for $269,013).

The 19th event of the series saw 77 runners registering, taking the prize pool to $1.9 Million. Finnish pro Pauli Ayras, who had previously taken down the Poker Masters #06: $10,300 PLO, 6-Max for $303,422, added yet another hefty sum of $548,625 to his bankroll, after championing the Poker Masters #19: $25,000 No-Limit Hold ’em.
Other notables who final tabled the event included Sam Greenwood (runner-up for $375,375) and David Peters (3rd for $259,876).

Despite the stiff competition, it was Irishman Steve O’Dwyer who bested David Peters (runner-up for $167,700) heads-up to clinch the title and the top prize of $269,013.

With just the top eight places slated to finish in the money, Guillaume Nolet hit the rail on the money bubble, while Koray Aldemir was the first player to cash in the tourney, finishing eighth for $74,812.
The battle to claim the title was fierce, and, in the end, Canadian pro Dan Smith came out on top after defeating Artur Martirosian (runner-up for $346,500) heads-up. Smith banked $511,875 for his win.

Canadians seem to be dominating the Poker Masters Online series as yet again, a Canadian player Sebastian Lewin came out on top in the 22nd event, i.e., the $10,300 No-Limit Hold ’em. Lewin trounced a field of 77 players and bested the 2019 GPI Player of the Year Alex Foxen in the heads-up finale, bagging a winner’s payday of $240,861. Foxen received $150,150 for his runner-up finish.

Pascal Lefrancois’s victory in Poker Masters #23: $25,500 Pot Limit Omaha for $527,510, saw him becoming the second player after Ayras to capture two Poker Masters Online titles at the ongoing series. Lefrancois had won the #09: $10,300 NLH 6-Max just a few days ago for $243,989, and with this win, his total earnings for the series have crossed the $800K-mark.

Ali Imsirovic’s spectacular run in the 2018 Poker Masters, where he claimed back-to-back titles and was eventually awarded the 2018 Poker Masters Purple Jacket, made him a household name. He is back to add to that tally, and he did just that by winning his third Poker Masters title recently after decimating the 110-entry field in the 24th event of the series. Imsirovic won $277,097 in the process.
