Poker Masters Online PLO Series: Parssinen Wins $25.5K SHR, Kyllonen & Nemeth Chasing Title #2

The action has picked up steam at Poker Central’s Poker Masters Online PLO Series. Headlining the latest round of high-stakes PLO action was Eelis Parssinen, who outlasted a field of 44 entries to capture the $1M GTD Event #5 Super High Roller title. Parssinen’s road to victory was nothing short of remarkable. He had entered Day 2 as the shortest stack among five remaining players. Spinning up like beast, Parssinen emerged as the champion to lay claim on the whopping $440,000 first-place cash prize!

Meanwhile, both Jens Kyllonen and Andras Nemeth are chasing their second title at the series. Kyllonen leads the five-handed final table in the $10,300 buy-in, Event #7 High Roller $500K GTD. On the other hand, Nemeth is in pole position with three players remaining in the $1M GTD Event #9 Super High Roller.

 

Event #5: Super High Roller $1M GTD

The first Super High Rollers on the series’ schedule, Event #5 Super High Roller $1M GTD, attracted 44 entries. Only five of them were able to progress to Day 2, with Andrew Pantling leading the pack with a ginormous stack of 3,144,248. Eelis Parssinen was sporting the shortest stack of 446,620.

Orchestrating a phenomenal comeback, it was Parssinen who pushed Pantling and other rivals to the shadows to come out as the champion!

Final Table Recap

The five-handed final table began on Day 2, and it was Jake Schindler busting in fifth place after running his kings into Parssinen’s aces.

Soon after that, the start-of-day chip leader Andrew Pantling knocked out Aku Joentausta in fourth place.

Andrew Pantling suffered a series of setbacks to eventually fall out in third place with Parssinen delivering the fatal blow.

Heads-up, Gavin Cochrane, and Parssinen battled for more than 90 minutes before Parssinen called Cochrane’s all-in move with ace-king-seven-five versus the former`s queen-six-four-four. Parssinen`s pair of fours won him the title.

Event #7 High Roller $500K GTD

The seventh event of the series drew a field of 50 contenders, and at the end of Day 1, Finnish pro Jens Kyllonen (2,233,219) bagged the overnight chip lead with five players remaining.

Laszlo Bujtas (1,882,115) and Eelis Parssinen (1,575,470) are carrying the other top stacks.

While each of them is assured at least $27,027.50, they’re all eyeing the $440,000 cash prize reserved for the winner.

Event #9 Super High Roller $1M GTD

The $25,500 buy-in Event #9 Super High Roller PLO $1M GTD is down to the last three players from a starting field of 43 entries. The tournament eclipsed its guarantee to collect a $1,075,000 prize pool and will pay six places.

The six-handed final table was formed towards the latter part of the day. Gavin Cochrane was the chip leader at the start of the final table, but Andras Nemeth overtook him do bag the overnight chip lead with a stack of 3,564,325.

Cochrane (2,060,497) sits second in chips, whereas online legend Viktor Blom (8,25,178) is the third surviving player.

Aku Joentausta (4th for $96,750), Joao Vieira (5th for $75,250), and George Wolff (6th for $58,109) were the three players who finished in the money on Day 1.
