PokerBaazi & Casino Pride Join Hands to Launch PokerBaazi LIVE Poker Room in Goa

The competition to rule over Goan waters is heating up. A few months ago, the Pride Group and GGHPL had acquired new and improved ships, setting up the stage for an all-out turf war with Delta Corp. After GGHPL commenced operations on its new ship ‘Big Daddy’ two months ago, it’s now Pride’s turn to intensify the rivalry.

In conjunction with India’s most trusted online poker site, PokerBaazi, Pride Group will be launching live poker operations onboard the Casino Pride 2 vessel for its newest poker room – PokerBaazi LIVE. The poker room is currently under renovation and is expected to commence operations from August 1.

PokerBaazi (Pride 2) is the third online poker site to collaborate with an offshore casino in Goa, after Adda52 (Deltin Royale), and Spartan Poker (Big Daddy).

Reportedly only a month old, the new Casio Pride 2 vessel will host its latest poker room, PokerBaazi LIVE, on Level 2. Featuring sleek cash tables, the poker room is expected to offer electrifying action, which is sure to give the more established Deltin Royale poker room a run for its money. The new vessel is bigger than its predecessor, opening up the possibility of hosting an international series aboard the ship.

Sporting cutting-edge technology, PokerBaazi LIVE will be hosting some of the biggest cash games in no time. In fact, there is also a strong possibility that the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) may be revived, which has been on a sabbatical since 2016.

This is PokerBaazi’s second venture in establishing live operations. Back in 2016, the company had acquired the Phoenix Poker Room in Bengaluru and renamed it PokerBaazi LIVE, which was operated by PokerGuru Staking’s Vikram “Lungi” Kumar. However, following regulatory clampdowns, the venue has suspended operations.

Navkiran Singh & Madhav Gupta – 2 Big Names Come Together

This latest offering from PokerBaazi and the Pride Group is undoubtedly a result of the collaboration between two of the most renowned industry leaders – PokerBaazi. CEO, Navkiran Singh, and PokerGuru Staking’s Madhav “Maddy” Gupta.

Gupta has enjoyed a long-term association with the Pride Group and was responsible for setting up the SOL Poker Room, along with other patrons, namely Sachin Pawa and Gurpreet Bakshi. Eventually, Gupta bought out his partners, which led to the renaming of the poker room to the Pride Poker Room. The poker room has played host to several live poker tournaments including two editions of the PokerGuru Tour.

After Gupta co-founded the online gaming site Baadshah Gaming, the poker room was ultimately rebranded to Baadshah Gaming Live Poker Room, following Pride Group’s decision to invest in the venture. Most notably, in recent years the poker room was known for launching and subsequently hosting three editions of the Baadshah Gaming Live Tournament (BLT).

PokerBaazi is one of the leading online poker platforms in the country and has been known to host bigger and better tournaments for their player base. The man behind the exponential success of the poker site is its founder – Navkiran Singh.

Being an ardent fan of the game, Singh has made it his goal to create a safe platform for poker players to play on. Regarding this latest collaboration, Singh said, “I want to bring the same levels of excitement for players to enjoy the game in the live circuit, as they have been doing online. The two stalwarts of India’s poker industry have played a crucial role in the growth of the sport in the country. Their collaboration is sure to bring more exciting developments for the domestic circuit in the coming days, including a slew of cash game festivals and possibly even an international tournament series!

Synergy Between Live & Online Poker

With this latest announcement, three of the biggest online poker sites have now aligned themselves with brick-and-mortar establishments. While Adda52 has Deltin Royale and Spartan Poker has Big Daddy, PokerBaazi’s association with Casino Pride 2 has opened the possibility of a barrage of offers, promotions, and live tournaments.

The domestic poker community will undoubtedly have a lot to look forward to as these brands vie for a share of the live poker business.
