The PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) Special Edition hit the halfway mark on Wednesday, April 24 and crowned champions in five events. Headlining the list of winners was ‘Kingsingh69’ and ‘Fireexit’ (anonymity requested). The former took down the PPL#19: The Vegas ₹30 Lakhs GTD for ₹7,00,632, slightly edging past Rathnam who banked ₹7,00,253 for shipping the PPL#18: PLO HighRoller ₹25 Lakhs GTD.
The other three events were won by ‘Paul7788’ (PPL#17: 6-Max SuperStack ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.19 Lakhs), ‘AK10JQ’ (PPL#20: 4-Max Hyper Turbo ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹75,810) and Aditya ‘adit11’ Kulkarni (PPL#16: ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹74,550).
For a third consecutive day, Gaurav ‘gaug17’ Sood has held on to his pole position on the PPL Special Edition leaderboard with 3,715 points. Sood is comfortably ahead of Ankit ‘akj290’ Jajodia who is placed second on the leaderboard with 3,125 points.

With established pros like Alok ‘shockmaster’ Ranjan (6th for ₹1.42 Lakhs), Raman ‘ifryu’ Gujral (7th for ₹1.17 Lakhs) and Rajesh ‘intervntion’ Shukla (9th for ₹70,221) in the mix, ‘Kingsingh69’ had a tough field to beat but the user eventually managed to capture the title, becoming ₹7 Lakhs richer in the process.

Drawing in 361 entries (176 unique and 185 re-entries), the event comfortably eclipsed its guarantee, collecting ₹3.61 Lakhs in the prize pool.
‘AK10JQ’ emerged as the eventual champion after besting Aditya ‘macchi1089’ Chaudhary in the heads-up finale. While the former pocketed ₹75,810 for their win, Chaudhary took home ₹53,067 for finishing second.
