A popular tournament, The Game Changer, was first hosted by PokerBaazi in February last year and was one of the first online tournaments in the country to have a multi-flight format. The Game Changer 1.0 was a tremendous success. It was a record-breaking tournament that had posted a massive ₹3.7 Crores prize pool on the back of a gigantic 3,777 entry-field across the three starting flights. Prashanth Sekar had emerged as the first-ever ‘Game Changer’ champion and banked ₹33 Lakhs in prize money following a four-way ICM deal.
The Game Changer 2.0 took place in August the same year and had quite a tough task to accomplish. Not only did the second edition need to surpass the 3,777-entry mark, but it had to do so with a reduced buy-in of ₹5,500. In the end, the target was not only easily achieved, but the previous entry record was blown to smithereens to reach a total of 4796 entries! Shagun Jain championed the event for ₹40.78 Lakhs in first-place prize money.
A little over two months ago, PokerBaazi had hosted India’s biggest online tournament to-date, the ₹5 Crores GTD End Boss. The event had gathered a never-before-seen 5,847 entries, generating a ginormous ₹5.85 Crores prize pool. Recreational player Abhishek Maheshwari registered his name in the annals of poker history by becoming the first Indian player to claim an eight-figure score on a domestic platform worth ₹1 Crore!
Since then, PokerBaazi has provided several exciting offers and promotions for its user base, including the TDS Carnival, Free Entry Tournaments promising ₹1 Crore in Real Cash Bonus (RCB) giveaways and a ₹50 Lakhs Cash Game Bonanza in May. There is also the first-of-its-kind Indian Micro Poker Series (IMPS) lined up for June.
July is also going to be sizzling hot not only for tournament players but also for the cash game enthusiasts! PokerBaazi has unveiled an ₹1 Crore Cash Bonanza that will run for 31 days awarding whopping cash prizes across six leaderboards. It will be a unique month-long promotion wherein the online operator will take into account only the 20 best days of each player. That means you can play every day, but only your highest scores from the best 20 days will reflect on the leaderboard.
The leaderboards will heed every player’s needs by offering separate prizes at each stake for No-Limit Hold ’em and Pot-Limit Omaha. PLO leaderboards will include both the 4-Card and 5-Card variants.
The stakes will be as follows:
– Low: 5/10 and 10/25
– Mid: 25/50 and 50/100
– High: 100/200 and 250/500
