After PokerStars officially began its shared liquidity, partypoker has now become the newest franchise to join the bandwagon. Shared online poker liquidity was first started by PokerStars in January 2018. It was done in order for internet poker companies to unite Europe’s divided markets. Starting with the merging of French and Spanish player pools, PokerStars then went on to amalgamate its Portuguese platform to the shared European pool.
Following in the footsteps of PokerStars, the GVC Holdings subsidiary, partypoker also combined the French and Spanish online poker platform under its .eu platform which went live on June 4. Although several upgrades have already been made to its Spanish domain .es, the operator has promised many more changes to come in both the French and Spanish platforms.
After successfully joining in the shared liquidity project, the company has decided to double its multi-table tournament (MTT) schedule for its French players, whilst allowing its Spanish players to once again play the MTT format which had previously been removed from the its Spanish platform.
