Whether it is the announcement of upcoming series or new additions to poker franchises, the poker community seems to be constantly on the move.
The Poker King Cup is back again at the Poker King Club in Macau and will run from September 20 to 28, featuring 10 exciting events.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has teamed up with partypoker to bring two key poker festivals to King’s Casino, Rozvadov in the Czech Republic. The WSOP Circuit will kick off on September 20 and will be followed by the WSOP Europe slated for October 9
Meanwhile, poker enthusiast Donnie Peters has joined the online poker database PocketFives as their new Managing Editor.
The Poker King Club at the Venetian Macau is preparing to host the Poker King Cup from September 20 to 28. Best known for its high-stakes tournaments and cash games, the Poker King Cup will feature 10 high-octane and action-packed events which is sure to pull in some of the biggest names in the game!
Out of the 10 featured events, the three star attractions will be the PKC High Roller, PKC Main Event and PKC Super High Roller. With a HKD 80,000 buy-in, the PKC High Roller will be held from September 20 to 21. The PKC Main Event boasts of a HKD 16,500 buy-in and will run from September 21 to 25. Lastly, the PKC Super High Roller, with a buy-in of HKD 200,000, will be held from September 24 to 25.
Apart from these marquee events, the series will also comprise of the PKC Opening Event and many other tournaments for players to enjoy, including satellites to the PKC Main Event and the PKC Super High Roller.
Two big poker festivals that are part of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) banner, the WSOP Circuit and WSOP Europe are coming to King’s Casino, Rozvadov in the Czech Republic. The series will run back-to-back offering seven weeks of continuous poker action over a combined 28 events that will pay out more than €17 Million in guaranteed prize money.
The WSOPC festival will kick off first, on September 20, featuring more than €2.3 Million in guaranteed prize money. On October 9, the WSOPE festival will begin with a €1M GTD Colossus.

While there will be 15 WSOP Circuit events, players can compete in 10 WSOP gold bracelet events. Headlining each festival will be the Main Event with huge €1M and €5M guarantees respectively.
The WSOPE will officially close on November 2, with the €10,350 Main Event playing down to the winner. However, poker action will continue for three more days in the €500,000 GTD King’s Celebration Cup.
Event partner partypoker has introduced attractive promotions for their players. To be eligible, players need to buy-in to key events with partypoker’s own PP LIVE Dollars. The first 100 players to pay the entry fee of WSOPE Main Event in PP LIVE Dollars can claim a one-year $200,000 pro sponsorship. The tournament winner will bag the sponsorship deal if the buy-in conditions are met, and the sponsored pro will receive $200,000 to use at partypoker LIVE events for an entire year and get to keep any and all winnings.
partypoker has extended the same sponsorship to WSOPC Main Event winners and the WSOPE Colossus, except for the fact that each winner will get $50,000 for one year in partypoker LIVE buy-ins.
Donnie Peters, who is an American Poker Award winner, has recently joined the ranks of the world’s largest online poker tournament database PocketFives as their new Managing Editor.
Following a successful run with PokerNews, where he joined in August 2016, Peters started as a Marketing Manager and rose to the designation of Editor-in-Chief.
Thereafter, he had a very short stint with the World Poker Tour (WPT) and was eventually picked by his current employer, PocketFives.

Besides being a part of the business end of the mind sport, Peters is also an avid poker player and even has a title win to his name at the European Poker Tour (EPT) – 9 – San Remo in 2012.
