Greeting ladies and gentlemen! We are back with another scintillating edition of the PokerGuru Gossip Column.

In our first story reality television personality Kim Kardashian West staked what seemed like physical Bitcoins at a charity poker event. And in our next and final story, Daniel ‘KidPoker’ Negreanu duped his vlog viewers into believing that he played a $20,000 per hole golf match with a woman named Nancy.

Well, let jump right to it!

Kim Kardashian West Stakes Bitcoins at Charity Poker Event

In a previous story we had mentioned that the reality television star Kim Kardashian West along with her family members including Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner would be hosting tables at the ‘If Only’ Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament from City of Hope National Medical Center and the Forum in Inglewood, California.

The event took place on July 29 and the fashionista shared an Instagram story of her staking physical Bitcoin (BTC) chips at the charity poker event. She captioned the images with the byline “We moved onto bitcoin!”

The idea of using Bitcoins as a physical commodity has been around for some time and the physical cryptos on Kardashian West’s Instagram were very similar to a Kialara-designed Bitcoin that crypto entrepreneur Matt Roszak claims to have given her at the tournament earlier that day.

The reality starlet’s husband, hip hop artist Kanye West, has also been known to show interest in cryptocurrency, having stated in an interview, “That was the moment when I wanted to use Bitcoin, when I saw [former slave] Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. It’s like when you see all the slave movies, it’s like why you gotta keep reminding us about slavery. Why don’t you put Michael Jordan on the $20 bill?”

Daniel Negreanu Vlogs About Golfing For $20,000 a Hole Match

Even though the 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has come to an end, the six-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu has continued to post vlogs on his YouTube channel. On July 30, he posted a video, titled ‘Operation Get Sexy: Week 1 Down!’, featuring his exploits at the gym where he met up with the Danish poker player Gus Hansen and went golfing with three other legends from the poker community – Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson and Mike Sexton.

In the video Negreanu explains that he picked up a $20,000 a hole golf match with a woman dressed in Nike attire. The lady even suggested that they up the bet to $25K instead of the initial $20K but Negreanu refused stating he “hasn’t played in a while.” The two even decided that Negreanu would get five shots per side to offset the fact that Nancy would be playing from the Ladies tees.

Midway through the video, Negreanu states that they only played nine holes because it was 116 degrees in Las Vegas but ‘KidPoker’ claimed he beat the lady for $160,000 and that she should be good for it because her family “is in oil.”

But in the very next clip, Negreanu reveals that it was all a joke, saying, “Just in case some of you people took me seriously, that we were playing for $20K a hole, I was kidding.”
