GPI Update: Byron Kaverman Rules No. 1 Spot, Dan Smith Threatens Comeback at No. 4; Nipun Java at No. 1 on GPI Asia List

Byron Kaverman has completed a full 10 weeks at the top of the GPI rankings and five weeks leading the GPI Player of the Year (POY). Jason Mercier too completes 10 weeks, but at the No. 2 spot on the GPI rankings.

This week, the only significant changes are at the mid and lower rungs, with Dan Smith climbing the chart at No 4 and Kevin MacPhee re-enters the Top 10. Considering his non-stop action, Nipun Java who is now at No. 115 on the GPI rankings, has made it to the No. 1 on the GPI Asia list.

Most of the other Indian-origin players in the Top 300 are showing a fall in rankings.

 

Climbers

Dan Smith pops up again this week, climbing three spots to No. 4.

Steve O’Dwyer moves up a rank to No. 5.

Paul Volpe is the highest climber, going up nine places to No. 6.

And, finally Kevin MacPhee rises seven spots to grab the last rung at No. 10.

 

Dippers

Nicholas Petrangelo is down by three spots at No. 7.

Bryn Kenney suffers the same drop of three places and is at No. 8.

Martin Finger falls by a place to No. 9.

Erik Seidel drops off the top 10 to No. 11, down by a rank.

Davidi Kitai is the biggest dipper, falling three places, down to No. 12.

 

Notable Indian Movers in the Top 300

Pratyush Buddiga is up at No. 39, rising four places.

Mukul Pahuja slips another seven places to reach No. 46.

Ankush Mandavia has a smaller fall of two spots to No. 64.

Ravi Raghavan is also down by seven spots to No. 112.

Nipun Java continues to rise and is now up two spots to No. 115. Java recently made a seventh place finish in the Seminole Hard Rock Rock n Roll Championship for $88,243.

Shyam Srinivasan falls another four spots to No. 192.

Vinny Pahuja rises a massive 76 spots to reach No. 229, re-entering the Top 300.
