GPI Update: Jason Mercier Continues to Reign; Nick Petrangelo Enters Top 10

Jason Mercier continues to rule the GPI rankings for the sixth consecutive week, with most other top rung standees in the same place.

The two significant climbers this week are Paul Volpe and Nick Petrangelo. The latter enters the Top 10 with this rise.

Among the Indian-origin players in the GPI Top 300 list, there are a few changes, with some players cashing at the ongoing EPT 12 Barcelona series.

The Climbers

Paul Volpe climbs five spots to land at the fourth position. Volpe has recently final tabled Event 21 at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open and finished in eighth place making $100,000.

Bryn Kenney moves up one place to sixth place. Kenney has also been at the Seminole, though with substantially less earnings of $7,700 in Event 22 for a 32nd place finish.

The significant climber this week is Nicholas Petrangelo, who enters the Top 10 at ninth place.

 

The Dippers

Scott Seiver keeps falling, this time one rank down to land at fifth place. Stephen Chidwick is also down this week by two places at seventh place.

 

Notable Indian Movers in the Top 300

Mukul Pahuja flops by five ranks and is currently placed 30th.

Pratyush Buddiga keeps rising, up to No. 32, from No. 36 last week.

Ankush Mandavia makes a giant leap of 52 spots to No. 76. Mandavia has been busy at the EPT 12 Barcelona, where he made €46,900 in the High Roller for an 18th place.

Ravi Raghavan slips 10 spots to rest at No. 121.

Shyam Srinivasan rises five places and is now at No. 155. Shyam has also cashed at the EPT 12 Barcelona, making €5,550 for a 69th place in the High Roller.

Nipun Java falls a full 20 ranks and is now at No. 170.

Vinny Pahuja continues a slight rise and is up two spots to No. 294.
