PokerRaj Postpones PokerRaj International – The 100 Series to April 20-21

Last month, Viaan Industries Ltd. owned online poker site – PokerRaj – had announced the details of its first international event, an invite-only tournament, ‘PokerRaj International – The 100 Series’. The tournament was originally planned to take place from March 22-23 at Bally’s Casino, PokerRaj has recently clarified that the dates for the event have been pushed back to April 20-21 basis player feedback.

However, that is not the only change that online poker site announced. The tournament organizers have introduced cash tables and a chance for players to get their stay at a 5-Star hotel, flight tickets to and from Sri Lanka, and a seat at the tournament, all included in the buy-in amount.

The tournament has one additional change, with the guaranteed amount reduced to $250,000 (₹1,73,87,625). However, it is a progressive prize pool that will change depending on the number of participants going up to $500,000 (₹3,57,32,500). The 100-player cap remains.

Launched in September 2018, PokerRaj has established itself as a worthy competitor in India’s ever-growing online poker domain. Just weeks after launch, PokerRaj named Bollywood and TV actor Anita Hassanandani as its first brand ambassador. Hassanandani was, in fact, a member of the Harman Baweja-led Mumbai All-Stars team that won Match IPL Season 1.

On the heels of Hassanandani becoming a part of PokerRaj, Viaan Industries announced it’s first-ever international tournament – ‘PokerRaj International – The 100 Series’ to take place at Bally’s Casino in Columbo, Sri Lanka. The invite-only event was scheduled to take place from March 22-23, capped at 100 players with a ₹3.93 Lakhs buy-in. The tournament has now been postponed to April 20-21. While the prize pool has a guaranteed amount of $250,000, it can go right up to half a million dollars ($500,000) at a buy-in of $5,500 and a playing field capped at 100 players.

In addition to these changes, PokerRaj also announced that for all players who confirm their attendance for the tournament before April 5, 5-Star hotel stay, and air transfers will be arranged by PokerRaj.

With renowned players like Melika Razavi and Vanessa Alvarez expected to be in attendance, the ‘PokerRaj International – The 100 Series’ will surely be an exciting event.
