This year, PokerStars and its roster of accomplished team pros have been coming up with attractive ways for players to win the coveted Platinum Passes to the PokerStars Players Championships (PSPC), that will be hosted in the Bahamas in January 2019.

In another of its latest promotions, the global gaming giant is inviting players to join in a ‘Human Lie Detector’ contest for a shot at winning a Platinum Pass. Multiple World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner and PokerStars Team Pro, Daniel Negreanu has a major role to play in the promotion.

“Detect the lie,” says the PokerStars promotion, “to win a ticket into a platinum pass freeroll.”

As explained in a PokerStars blog, Negreanu aka ‘The Human Lie Detector’ will be asking fellow Team Pro three questions and is going to use his vast experience to spot the bluff. If a player can also spot the bluff, he or she can win an all-expenses paid trip to the PSPC.

The first of the videos that are part of the promotion was released on October 10. In the video, Negreanu is seen putting forth three questions to Andre Akkari. One of Akkari’s answers is going to be a bluff and a lie. All that anyone interested in winning a Platinum Pass has to do is guess which answer is the bluff. Participants have to tweet their answers with the hashtag #HumanLieDetector along with their PokerStars ID.

According to PokerStars, everyone who answers correctly will receive a ticket for a freeroll that will take place on November 11. The player who wins the freeroll will be awarded the prized Platinum Pass.

For players who don’t make it to the winner’s seat, there is $3,000 worth of runner-up prizes up. PokerStars is also offering tournament tickets to random winning entries, allowing players to have more than one way to win the Platinum Pass.

Players who opt to play on Facebook can win different PokerStars merchandise. While the first video is already out, the second one will be posted on Friday.

PokerStars Partners With SHR to Award Platinum Passes

In addition to the Human Lie Detector promotion, PokerStars is also partnering with the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (SHR) Hollywood for giving away another three Platinum Passes. As part of this promotion, customers of SHR have the opportunity to win one of three $30,000 Platinum Passes through three different events in November.

The first pass will be awarded to winner of the $86 buy-in $30KGTD NLHE that will take place as part of the Moneymaker PSPC Tour, on November 9-11 at SHR.

Next, there is a $300 buy-in charity poker tournament that will play out at the Hard Rock Event Centre on November 13 on behalf the Feeding South Florida Charity. The event winner will win a Platinum Pass.

Last but not the least, there is the Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open slated for November 14-27 at SHR, where players who register to enter will see their names entered into a special draw that will take place on November 28, and the winner of the draw will walk away with a Platinum Pass.
