Poker players in France, Portugal and Spain can look forward to exciting online tournament action. Gaming giant PokerStars has announced the Southern Europe Championship of Online Poker (SECOOP), scheduled to run from October 28 to November 12.

The online poker extravaganza features buy-in ranges from as low as €5, to as high as €250, across a total of 149 events that have a combined guaranteed prize pool of €10 Million.

Talking about the SECOOP, director of Poker Innovation and Operations at PokerStars Severin Rasset said, “We are happy to transform our renowned COOP series into a COOP specifically for our players in Southern Europe that will allow them to compete for bigger prize pools in prestigious tournaments.”

“Our players have really enjoyed our shared liquidity offerings and we look forward to seeing everyone playing at the SECOOP virtual felt,” Rasset added.

While the star attraction would undoubtedly be the €250 buy-in main Event that kicks off on November 11 and carries a €1 Million guarantee, there are other featured events including two Sunday Specials, slated for October 28 and November 4 that come with guarantees of €300,000 and €350,000 respectively.

There are also three PSPC Platinum Passes up for grabs across the SECOOP challenge and also the daily leaderboards. However, players in Portugal are not eligible to compete for the Platinum Passes.

Players who participate in the SECOOP Challenge collect a stamp each day they participate in at least one SECOOP event. Players who collect four stamps get entry into one freeroll, while eight stamps get them entry into both the freerolls. The two freerolls will take place on November 18 and offer a Platinum Pass to the winner.

Alongside, a total of 16 leaderboards will run during the series, and 16 winners will be entered into a freeroll with the winner to claim a Platinum Pass.

Players can also win free SECOOP tickets as well as added value through daily Second Chance freerolls, a Main Event Depositor freeroll and special Spin & Gos.
