Trust PokerStars to liven up things for gamers! This time the world’s most popular poker site has brought in another exciting format with “Beat The Clock” tournaments. Fast-paced with a 5-minute stopwatch, these tournaments will have $10,000 up for grabs daily, with a total of $200,000 available until Dec 4.

The games were first released for the Russian market with $1 buy-ins, but have now added $3 buy-ins after being extended to the dot-UK and dot-EU domains.

Fast Action

5 minutes are all that it will take at the Beat The Clock tournaments. As soon as 48 players are registered, a stop watch will begin the 5-minute countdown with spectacular sound effects.

Players will get a starting stack of 5,000 chips and blind levels will begin at 200/400 with an ante of 80. This will increase on the minute reaching a final level of 500/1,000 with an ante of 200. Those who survive the five minutes will then share the prize pool amongst themselves.

Notching up the pace will these tournaments will be in the Zoom Poker format at the four max tables.

Challenges & Prize Pool

Open till December 4, there will be a new Beat The Clock challenge every day and what’s more, those who play three of these, will even get a free seat to the All-in Shootout the next day, which has a delicious $10,000 prize pool!

Just open the “Challenges” window and select the Beat The Clock option. Register and you are automatically registered for the All-in Shootout ($10K GTD)

Additionally, you won’t even need to be present (logged in) for the All-in Shootout. Every player will be automatically all-in until a winner is reached!

These Beat The Clock tournaments are the third innovation brought in recently by PokerStars, with earlier ones being Knockout Poker and the Bubble Rush formats introduced earlier this year.
