The PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) is now on the home stretch but as the saying goes, “It ain’t over till the fat lady sings!” And in the case of the PPL, the fat lady will be singing on October 7 & 8 when the final table of the PPL #35 High Roller 6-Max ₹70 Lakhs GTD and PPL #46 The MoneyMaker ₹1 Crore GTD will play out at the PokerBaazi LIVE Poker Room onboard Casino Pride 2 in Goa.

The PPL #35 High Roller commenced last night, attracting 271 entries (179 unique and 92 re-entries) that resulted in a ₹2.25 Lakhs overlay. It was almost poetic that at the end of the play, it was the first-ever Baazi Poker Tour ₹25K Main Event champion, Puneet ‘neo1’ Dua who emerged as the chip leader with a gigantic stack of 2.74 Million. Dua had famously taken down the inaugural BPT Main Event back in 2016 for a ₹10 lakhs payday and will be looking to re-create the magic once again when play resumes on October 7 at the PokerBaazi LIVE Poker Room.

The biggest winner on the online felts last night was The Indian Poker Series (TIPS) co-founder Jaydeep ‘JDBhaiya’ Dawer who decimated the 583-entry (317 unique and 266 re-entries) field in the PPL #34 The Summit MonsterStack ₹35 Lakhs GTD, banking a colossal ₹8.26 Lakhs.

The other big winners on PokerBaazi were ‘Godzilllaa66’ (PPL #31 DST ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.13 Lakhs), Mukesh ‘Guruuu’ Surana (PPL#32 6-Max ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹42,000) and ‘rahuljohn1983’ (PPL #33 4-Max DST Hyper ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹54,589).

Another site still withering under the overlay storm is Adda52. The site’s blockbuster Thursday event, Godfather XI ₹20 Lakhs GTD, pulled in 458 entries (229 unique and 159 re-entries) leading to a shortfall of ₹60,000. Chirag ‘mahikk’ Bhardwaj outlasted the competition and walked away with the ₹4.96 Lakhs up top.

PokerStars India’s Highroller ₹10 Lakhs GTD obliterated its advertised guarantee with a prize pool collection of ₹13.51 Lakhs through 193 entries (104 unique and 89 re-entries). PokerStars India Team pro and poker superstar Aditya Agarwal was crowned the champion and bagged the ₹2.68 Lakhs top prize. An iconic poker player, Agarwal has shipped the Highroller twice already this year, namely in March for ₹2.42 Lakhs and in April for ₹2.08 Lakhs. His most recent success on PokerStars India came in July when he took down the Sunday Special – Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD for ₹3.05 Lakhs.

Meanwhile, Vikram ‘Prison M!ke’ Singh won The Classic ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹39,498 following a three-way chop.

Spartan Poker’s Head-Hunter ₹10 Lakhs GTD saw ‘N00b N00b’ clinch the title for a ₹2.60 Lakhs paycheque after topping a field of 290 entries (144 unique, 99 re-buys and 51 re-entries) that helped generate a prize pool worth ₹11.76 Lakhs.

On 9stacks, the StackUp @8 PM ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD posted a nominal ₹5,500 overlay through 163 entries (85 unique, 37 re-entries and 41 rebuys). Harshit ‘Harsh114’ Sanghi was the last man standing and he who took home ₹65,000 for his win.

Entries – 179

Re-entries – 92

Prize Pool – ₹70,00,000

Places Paid – 36

Hands down the biggest tournament last night was PPL #35 High Roller 6-Max ₹70 Lakhs GTD (RE). The tournament attracted 271 hopefuls (179 unique and 92 re-entries), each of whom ponied up the ₹27,500 buy-in to enter. While the tourney saw an overlay of ₹2.25 Lakhs, it took nearly seven hours for the six-handed final table to be redrawn.

The final table will be played live at the PokerBaazi LIVE room onboard Casino Pride 2 on October 7 just before the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) commences.

It is almost poetic that the player who is to resume play in pole position is none other than the inaugural BPT Main Event champion Puneet ‘neo1’ Dua. Dua carries 2.742 Million and is the only player on the final table with a two million-plus stack. Trailing Dua is Anish ‘Illusionist’ Patra (1,785,357) and ‘Westworld’ (1,313,916), while Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan (1,118,829) is another notable in contention.

The top 36 spots crossed the money line, and some seasoned players who finished ITM though failing to make it to the final table were Nadeem ‘SpadeHunter’ Basha (9th for ₹1.54 Lakhs), Aditya ‘adit11’ Kulkarni (11th for ₹1.12 Lakhs), Rajat ‘LungFakeer’ Sharma (13th for ₹92,400), Raghav ‘thatssosick’ Bansal (14th for ₹92,400), Rubin ‘kornkid’ Labroo (16th for ₹79,100), Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot (19th for ₹69,300), Arjanveer ‘holdbaby’ Singh Chadha (25th for ₹54,600), and Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja (28th for ₹47,600).
