With a little over a month left for the year to end, poker action on the online domestic felts have picked up the pace as the premier sites continued to dole out the goods!
India’s most trusted poker site, PokerBaazi’s mainstay event, i.e. the Baazi Super Sunday (BSS) SuperStack ₹15 Lakhs GTD registered a massive 372 entries that obliterated the prize pool guarantee with a total collection of ₹18.60 Lakhs. Topping this marquee event was poker veteran Raman ‘Ifryu’ Gujral (cover image), who added ₹3.58 Lakhs to his bankroll. Another online veteran Neeraj ‘SelfClaimedPro’ Kumar clinched the title in the BSS PLO ₹5 Lakhs GTD and pocketed ₹1.71 Lakhs. ‘pokerbaazijul’ bagged ₹1.25 Lakhs for winning The Monster 6-Max ₹5 Lakhs GTD, and Rohit ‘Kudos0505’ Behal won the BSS MegaStack ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.10 Lakhs.
PokerStars India`s format revamp for it`s premier Sunday Special event into a ‘Progressive KO’ format has proved to be quite a hit. The event has quickly become a crowd favorite and the last edition saw 380 entries, making for a guarantee crushing ₹17.29 Lakhs prize pool. Arpan ‘Vasusenaa’ Majhi decimated the playing field to win the top prize of ₹3.15 Lakhs. Young Guns came out all guns blazing with Nadeem ‘Downtownplaya’ Basha winning The Sunday Stars at PokerStars India for ₹49,925. Following his trailblazing run on 9stacks, Arsh ‘BiggggTymeR’ Grover was once again among the big Sunday winners as he took down the Classic NLHE ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹41,850.
The other big winners of PokerStars India were Ankit ‘Bhoochal’ Saxena (Sunday Storm ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹32,639), ‘RiverTheNutzz’ (Sunday Warm-Up ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹24,074) and Kshitij ‘kmk1127’ Kucheria (Sunday Supersonic ₹1 Lakh GTD for ₹16,884).
After two weeks we finally saw a new name claiming the top prize in the Sunday Stacks on 9stacks. Amar ‘Buddha’ N Mehta bested a strong 202-player field in the event to win ₹2.55 Lakhs in prize money.
PokerRaj ran its Nations Cup Qualifier for a third week and this time, Anthony ‘Lucifer’ Lalchhandama won the event for ₹35,000 along with a seat in the Nationals Cup Finale that will be held on January 13, 2019.
MadOverPoker’s Sunday regular events continued to pull in the crowds. This week’s winner list includes ‘Bubbles’ (Dynamite for ₹25,809), Rakesh ‘Rainbow’ Ranjan (Grenade for ₹16,329) and Sam ‘Lokimon’ Anand (NightCrawler for ₹14,945).
