The final Sunday of January was an explosive one for MTT players! Just as the 12th edition of the IOPC entered the business end of its run, the APT India Online Series returned on PokerBaazi for its third edition, setting up a Sunday extravaganza unlike any other we have seen so far this year.
The day`s biggest story came out from the ₹2 Crores GTD IOPC #69 Legends, where grabbing the headlines was none other than the recent IOPC High Roller champion Young Gun Sahil Chutani. The cash game reg won the flagship title for a career-best ₹44.05 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Raghav Bansal (2nd for ₹43.12 Lakhs). Vinay B pocketed ₹20.76 Lakhs in third place.
Rising Star Ritwik Khanna made the long Sunday winner`s list for taking down the IOPC #66 – Sunday Prime for ₹13.58 Lakhs. Young Gun Arsh Grover came second for ₹8.56 Lakhs.
Bhanu Prakash KC (IOPC #67 – Sunday Spotlight for ₹5.15 Lakhs), Vidwath Shetty (IOPC #70 PKO for ₹1.63 Lakhs), and Chaitanya Dhingra (Won IOPC #64 – DST for ₹1.55 Lakhs) won the other IOPC titles.
Anurag Srivastava bagged his first APT trophy in APT#4 Sunday Major for ₹7.08 Lakhs, just as Parth Aggarwal finished runner-up for ₹4.96 Lakhs.
Amit Tejura (Won APT#2 Monsterstack for ₹3.11 Lakhs), Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram (Won APT#1 Kickoff for ₹3.09 Lakhs), Nitin Rawat (Won APT#6 Turbo 6-Max for ₹1.22 Lakhs) and Rishab Malik (Won APT#3 Turbo 6-Max for ₹92,831) shipped the other APT India titles yesterday.
The three-time The Millionaire winning Young Gun, Anuj Yadav, went on a tear last night and won two flagship titles, Adda52 Millions (₹6.30 Lakhs) and PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller (₹2.13 Lakhs). He cashed another two events, altogether pocketing ₹10.38 Lakhs, his Sunday run pushing him across the ₹7 Crore-mark in recorded winnings.
Vishal Singh came out on top in Adda52’s Mega Suits and won ₹6.07 Lakhs.
Md Zeeshan took down PokerStars India’s Sunday Special – Progressive KO for ₹2.42 Lakhs.
Poker coach Abhishek Goindi (₹12.94 Lakhs), Young Gun Kanchan Sharma (₹12.08 Lakhs), and Mohammad Azhar (₹11.05 Lakhs) were the other breakout winners last night and posted numerous deep runs for seven-figure payouts.
Shawn Jose, Ashish Kumar, Karan Malhotra, Tapan Mansotra, Sanchit Anand, and Biplob Rana won the other Sunday majors.

Spartan Poker
The ₹2 Crores GTD IOPC #69 – Legends lit up the Day 11 schedule at the ongoing series. The ₹27,500 buy-in event logged in a total of 1,149 entries across four flights, creating a ₹2.87 Crores prize pool. Among the 156 survivors (123 unique stacks) who made it through to Day 2, only 151 runners received payouts.
After a little over five hours of play on Day 2, Young Gun Sahil ‘$lim$hady19’ Chutani shipped the event for a jaw-dropping ₹44.05 Lakhs, picking up his second IOPC title in three days! On Thursday, the cash game reg had won IOPC #49 – High Roller for a career-best ₹23.20 Lakhs and ended up improving upon his record.

Vidwath ‘QU@ANTUM’ Shetty was the last player standing and won ₹1.63 Lakhs after beating ‘dcking13’ (2nd for ₹1.01 Lakhs) in the heads-up showdown. Another two cashes helped Shetty collect ₹2.51 Lakhs, boosting his online tally to ₹2.05 Crores.
The ₹7.50 Lakhs GTD IOPC#64 – DST generated a profitable ₹8.80 Lakhs prize pool after 440 challengers bought in for ₹2,200. The top 31 finishers landed in the money zone. Chaitanya ‘baz’ Dhingra walked away with the title and ₹1.55 Lakhs in prize money following a three-way deal with ‘ChunnuDon’ (2nd for ₹1.33 Lakhs), and Tanmay ‘Tandroid’ Bhalerao (3rd for ₹1.11 Lakhs).
The ₹6.75 Lakhs GTD IOPC #65 – Monster Stack logged in 974 entrants who bought in for ₹880, and the top 87 finishers got a share from the ₹7.79 Lakhs prize pool. The user ‘Houseplayer’ won the title for ₹1.49 Lakhs after defeating Ajay ‘ajay2706’ Saharan (2nd for ₹92,881) heads-up.
Ankit ‘ON_MY_MAC’ Bajaj (8,530 points) reclaimed the #1 position on the IOPC leaderboard yesterday, while Vinay ‘BeepBeepImaJeep’ Rajpal (8,518 points) dropped down to #2. The IOPC#67 Sunday Spotlight champion Bhanu ‘ikiru’ Prakash KC (8,168 points) has moved to #3 in the standings, where he will be looking to top the IOPC Leaderboard for a record-entending third time!

The third edition of the much-awaited ₹7 Crores GTD APT Online Series India kicked off on PokerBaazi yesterday and crowned six champions. There are nine APT trophies to be won at the series, and Sunday featured two trophy events.
The Day 1 showstopper, ₹35 Lakhs GTD APT#4 Sunday Major logged in 782 entries to collect a guarantee-surpassing ₹39.10 Lakhs prize pool. After close to ten hours of play, the former IOPC – The Millionaire Main Event winner Anurag ’13anurag’ Srivastava came out on top to win his first APT trophy for ₹7.08 Lakhs. The popular ₹10 buy-in event hit the max limit easily, with the re-entries expanding the field to 8,230 entries (3,000 entries and 5,230 re-entries). It took six hours and 34 minutes of play, for the 10 new lakhpati`s to be confirmed, namely, ‘su2020’, ‘Smthlx0911’, ‘wor0103’, ‘Don903’, ‘1stkingofpoker’, ‘s6wsupxgtmt’, ‘nick2021’, ‘ydc1234’, ‘aaja2’, and Ayush ‘ClassMonitor’ Goyal, each of them banking ₹1 Lakh.
‘Ijju’ money bubbled the event in 11th place and received a OnePlus Nord phone as a consolation prize.

PokerStars India`s ₹15 Lakhs GTD Sunday Special – Progressive KO featuring a ₹5,500 buy-in, managed to surpass its listed guarantee by ₹30,000 after clocking in 306 entries. Md ‘BuLlsEye0’ Zeeshan was the last player standing and won the title for ₹2.42 Lakhs, ending an over three-month-long title drought. The PokerStars India reg Debneil ‘ChhotaD0N’ Mukherjee came second for ₹1.62 Lakhs.
