Sunday ushered in an electrifying day of MTT action. The third edition of Spartan Poker`s Final Table Series (FTS) is all but over with just the ₹2 Crores GTD FTS Main Event left to find a winner. Young Gun Devang Yadav will be starting off as the chip leader on the five-handed final table at 5 PM today.

The day’s biggest winner happened to be one of the most well-known names of the domestic circuit, Shagun Jain. The online beast bested Surbhit Grover (2nd for ₹9.18 Lakhs) heads-up to win the ₹1 Crore GTD FTS – The Feast for ₹15.80 Lakhs.

Chandan Arora grabbed the FTS Head Hunter title, along with a ₹8.12 Lakhs payday. Young Gun Sahil Chutani finished runner-up for ₹4.89 Lakhs.

Aman Bhadu won FTS#29 for ₹7.72 Lakhs, and Anant Purohit placed second for ₹4.86 Lakhs.

As for the PokerStars India flagships, Vishnu Khandelwal took down INCOOP-62 Sunday Highroller for ₹5.04 Lakhs, and Aditya Kulkarni shipped the INCOOP-59 Sunday Special for ₹3.58 Lakhs.

The former Adda52 Big Game champion Vishal Singh won two titles, the Adda52 Millions and Ultimate DST. He posted another two deep runs, ending his Sunday run with ₹7.58 Lakhs in winnings.

Sagar Ajit Desai, Mohit Mehta, Himanshu Sehgal, Young Gun Karan Radia, Anmolraj Singh Chawla, Shrey Baj, Shubham Agarwal, Dhirendra Kumar, Amit Kaushik, Sanchit Anand, Akash Punshi, and Alok Kumar won the other Sunday marquees.

Spartan Poker

Sunday was an action-packed one on Spartan Poker, with the FTS 3.0 playing out the last of its scheduled events. The ₹2 Crores GTD FTS Main Event came down to the five-handed final table, and the ₹1 Crore GTD FTS The Feast and ₹40 Lakhs GTD FTS#26 Head Hunter declared champions.

Starting with the biggest event of the series, the FTS Main Event, the ₹35,000 buy-in event dragged in 594 entries hitting a ₹9.92 Lakhs overlay. The former Millionaire Legends champion, Young Gun Devang ‘THENERDGUY’ Yadav (8,243,165), bagged the end of Day 2 chip lead and will be the frontrunner on the five-handed final table. The 28-year-old had topped the Day 1B flight in the Main Event.

Devang Yadav is closely followed by PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘Shippament’ Wadhawan (7,022,233). The Chandigarh lad has been in peak form over the past few months. After a thrilling performance in the inaugural National Poker Series (NPS), where he won a gold and two silver medals and placed second on the NPS Podium leaderboard, Wadhawan has persisted with his stellar form. Last night was no different as he picked up three deep runs, racking up ₹9.64 Lakhs in winnings, in addition to qualifying for the FTS Main Event final table.

In fact, Ankit Wadhawan had carried two stacks to the Main Event final table. According to the tournament format, Wadhawan was awarded the sixth-place payout of ₹8.54 Lakhs on his shorter stack and carries his bigger stack to the five-handed final table.

Sanjay ‘Apollo1’ Taneja (2,417,944), Abhinav ‘hightr0ller’ Iyer (1,989,974) and Abhinay ‘wolowizard’ Devarakonda (1,116,684) are the other FTS Main Event final table contenders. The much-awaited final table begins at 5 PM later today, with a delayed live stream available across multiple platforms, including PokerGuru’s Facebook page.

While the FTS Main Event was undoubtedly the star attraction, the FTS The Feast was one of the FTS marquees to declare a winner yesterday. The 10-flight-long tourney gathered 3,672 entries, posting a glaring ₹26.56 Lakhs in overlays. Day 2 kicked off at 10 PM and concluded after the Game Changer 2.0 champion, Shagun ‘icansuckout’ Jain, took down the title for ₹15.80 Lakhs. The former Millionaire winner defeated the former ATOC Mini Main Event champion Surbhit ‘grovahova’ Grover (2nd for ₹9.18 Lakhs) heads-up.

The other FTS marquee that hosted its final table yesterday was the FTS #26 Head Hunter. Starting with the second biggest stack on the FT, Chandan ‘Flow Like Water’ Arora outlasted start-of-the-final table chip leader, Young Gun Sahil ‘$lim$hady19’ Chutani (2nd for ₹4.89 Lakhs) (includes ₹1.08 Lakhs in bounties), heads-up to clinch the FTS Gold Medallion and ₹8.12 Lakhs (includes ₹2.46 Lakhs in bounties).

After nearly eight hours of intense gameplay, the NPS Sunday Marathon champion Vishnu ‘violator2018’ Khandelwal came out on top to collect ₹5.04 Lakhs.

The Sunday MTT action on Adda52 was again headlined by the Mega Suits and the Adda52 Millions – each offering a ₹25 Lakhs prize pool guarantee.

The higher-priced, ₹11,000 entry buy-in Adda52 Millions wrangled in 236 entries, experiencing a ₹1.40 Lakhs overlay shortfall. The former Adda52 Big Game champion Vishal ‘Mitsen’ Singh proved the eventual champion and bagged his fourth title of the month, netting ₹6.86 Lakhs. ‘abrahamabraham205’ placed runner-up for ₹4 Lakhs.

Vishal Singh had final-tabled this event several times before and almost grabbed the bragging rights on July 5, when he finished runner-up for ₹3.88 Lakhs. Last night, Singh also won the ₹1.50 Lakhs GTD Ultimate DST for ₹30,301. He posted two more ITM finishes for a collective ₹7.58 Lakhs, boosting his online scorecard to ₹57.77 Lakhs.

His top finishes include:

Taking down the lower-priced Mega Suits was the mystery user ‘Aadityakhandelwal’ who toppled the 451-strong field in the ₹5,500 entry buy-in tourney, adding ₹6.13 Lakhs to their online poker bankroll. ‘tinda2706’ (anonymity requested) finished runner-up for ₹3.63 Lakhs. The tournament filled in a significant ₹2.50 Lakhs in overlays.

The victory forms the bulk of the champion ‘Aadityakhandelwal’s site cashes that range at ₹6.92 Lakhs (₹5.93 Lakhs in corresponding profits).

The ₹10 Lakhs GTD Sunday Showdown brought in 443 hopefuls, registering a nominal₹3,250 in overlays. The dust settled with Himanshu ‘himanshu_s’ Sehgal walking away with the title and a ₹1.80 Lakhs payday following a heads-up deal with ‘RickyRPG1997 (2nd for ₹1.52 Lakhs).

Spartan Poker`s ₹2 Crores GTD FTS – Main Event was the biggest draw on Sunday. The ₹35,000 entry buy-in event ran two starting flights at 12 PM and 4 PM on Sunday before all the qualifiers converged to play Day 2 at 10 PM.

An incoming field of 594 players – mostly regs – resulted in a landslide ₹9.92 Lakhs in overlays. The play was halted with the formation of the five-handed final table, where leading the pack is former Millionaire champion, Young Gun Devang ‘THENERDGUY’ Yadav (8,243,165). Hot on Yadav’s trail is PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘Shippament’ Wadhawan (7,022,233).
