With the peak of the COVID-19 second wave now behind us, several states have begun easing the lockdown restrictions over the past few weeks. Consequently, the traffic on the virtual felts has also started to decline, and the overlay avalanche that swept the marquees last week hit the Sunday flagships hard.
Sunday’s top scorer turned out to be a well-known online reg, Shagun Jain, who clinched his career-first Millionaire title for a jaw-dropping ₹17.89 Lakhs (1st for ₹17.38 Lakh, 31st for ₹39,300, and 186th for ₹11,700)! Radhika Choukhany finished runner-up for ₹9.77 Lakhs.
Young Gun Sanat Mehrotra took down Adda52’s Sunday headliner Mega Suits Finale for ₹8.80 Lakhs after defeating PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun Mahesh (runner-up for ₹6.45 Lakhs) heads-up.
The #1 ranked player of the year, Manish Lakhotia, claimed his fourth Adda52 Millions title for ₹6.50 Lakhs, while Vivekk Dube shipped PokerBaazi’s BSS#4 SuperStack for ₹5.26 Lakhs.
PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller found a champion in Young Gun Ujjwal Narwal, who won ₹2.76 Lakhs.
Ashwin Vijay (Won PokerStars India’s Sunday Special for ₹2.80 Lakhs), Rajesh Uttam (Won Spartan Poker’s Money Heist for ₹2.30 Lakhs), Sanish Chhabra (Won PokerBaazi’s BSS#5 MegaStack for ₹1.76 Lakhs) and Akshay Gupta (Won PokerBaazi’s BSS#3 MonsterStack 6-Max for ₹1.54 Lakhs) bagged the other marquee titles.
Here are the Sunday highlights!

Spartan Poker
Spartan Poker`s first ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire of July is now in the books.
Shagun ‘icansuckout’ Jain is a name we have mentioned often in our Sunday and daily features. In fact, the inaugural NPS Main Event champion, Mohammad Azhar, had thanked him after his record-shattering victory last Sunday. This Sunday, it was Shagun Jain’s time to shine as he took down his career-first ‘The Millionaire title’ for a whopping ₹17.38 Lakhs!
The Game Changer 2.0 champion had carried multiple stacks to Day 2 of The Millionaire and ended up cashing ₹17.89 Lakhs (1st for ₹17.38 Lakh, 31st for ₹39,300, and 186th for ₹11,700). Jain was on fire yesterday as he also placed runner-up in Adda52’s Sunday Showdown for a cool ₹1.54 Lakhs, raking in over ₹19.52 Lakhs in Sunday winnings.

The ₹5,500 entry buy-in tourney was back on the overlay express this week. Registering 1,836 entries from five starting flights, The Millionaire logged in 167 entries less than last week, suffering an ₹8.20 Lakhs deficit.
The ₹40 Lakhs GTD Sunday SuperStack had a more eventful run than The Millionaire. After clocking in 407 entrants, the event surpassed its listed guarantee by ₹70,000. Last week’s Trending Thursday champion ‘LorenzoVonMatterhorn’ came incredibly close to grabbing his second Sunday Superstack title, but in the end, he had to settle for a runner-up finish worth ₹5.42 Lakhs. The mystery user ‘bluechipp’ shipped the event for a ₹8.16 Lakhs payday.
The ₹10 Lakhs GTD Money Heist was taken down by Rajesh ‘PokerKnight’ Uttam, who won ₹2.30 Lakhs, just as ‘TejuHel’ came second for ₹1.41 Lakhs. The event attracted 1,110 entries, posting a ₹12.21 Lakhs prize pool.
