SHRB Online: Viktor Blom Wins 3rd Title in a Week!

This has been a month of first`s, and among the many high-voltage live stops taking the online route was Poker Central’s Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB) Online Series. The series is presently underway at partypoker and true to its reputation as a premier live stop, the online series has been well attended by some of the best poker players in the world!

Several SHRB Super High Roller tourneys played down to a champion over the weekend, with the winner’s list reading like the who’s who of the global poker circuit.

One name that has dominated the series so far is Viktor ‘Isildur’ Blom. The Swedish online phenom had won two titles already at the series, and he took that count to title #3 by taking down Event #21: $10,300 High Roller. Galloping past 54 other contenders and some of the most decorated pros in the business, Blom championed the $10.3K High Roller for $195,250! He had previously won Event #9: $10,300 High Roller and had followed that up by taking down Event #14: $25,500 Super High Roller.

With a total of six scores, including a phenomenal three title victories, Blom has already banked $1,527,000 at the series. It is no surprise then that he is currently sitting on top of the series standings, with 1,089 points, a substantial distance ahead of Artur Martirosyan (772 points), and Matthias Eibinger (585 points).

Among the other prominent winners at the stop was another feared name on the high stakes MTT circuit, Stephen Chidwick. Chidwick outran a field of 43 entries to win Event #23: $25,500 Super High Roller title for $430,000.

Sam Greenwood has been another towering presence at the series, having captured two titles over the weekend. He first bested a field of 50 entries to win Event #24: $10,300 High Roller for $200,000, following it up by taking down Event #20: $25,500 Super High Roller for another $399,000.

Alexandros Kolonias (Event #22: $10,300 High Roller for $240,860.62) and Matthias Eibinger (Event #19: $10,300 High Roller for $217,000) were others who won SHRB titles recently.

There is still more to look forward to as the most anticipated tournament at the series, the $102,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl $3 Million GTD, hits the virtual felts today.

Event #21: $10,300 High Roller, 8-Max

The $10,300 High Roller attracted 55 entries, collecting a $550,000 prize pool. Days after he took down Event #14: $25,500 Super High Roller for a massive $407,500, Sweden’s Viktor Blom rode to the top of once again to capture his third title at the series.

Blom ran past a host of big names like Stephen O’Dwyer, Mikita Badziakouski, Timothy Adams, and Ali Imsirovic on the final table to eventually clash with Isaac Haxton heads-up. Defeating the latter, he pocketed the $195,250 that was set aside for the winner.
