It was a smashing Sunday on the virtual felts last night! The marquee event of the night was the PPL #46: The MoneyMaker ₹1 Crore GTD that began proceedings at 7 PM yesterday. It took over eight hours for the final table to be formed and bagging the most massive stack among the star-studded lineup of the nine finalists was Siddharth ‘schemer’ Karia.

Ahmedabad-based Karia, who was part of the winning PSL Team Goan Nuts last year, had made his maiden visit to the WSOP this summer where he collected two scores, his best performance coming in the $10,000 Main Event (944th for $17,135 – ₹11.74 Lakhs). Karia will resume the final table action sporting a stack of 3,832,665. Trailing Karia is Vinayak ‘salmanbhai’ Bajaj (3,352,521) who is the only other player with a three million-plus stack to his name. Rounding out the top three stacks is Sumit ‘theRussian06’ Bajaj (2,397,032). It is a star-studded final table lineup with the likes of Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved (1,351,060), Ashit ‘nexus010’ Sharma (1,199,787), Romit ‘tilt83’ Advani (885,888) and Dhaval ‘Rehab77’ Mudgal (685,262), all in the running to become the next MoneyMaker!

With the final table now redrawn, action will now move over to the live felts at PokerBaazi LIVE onboard Casino Pride 2 on October 8. The same venue will play host to the second innings of the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) which will commence a day later, on October 9, with Day 1A of the ₹2 Crore GTD Main Event to be hosted online on October 6 (6 PM).

The PPL run is over (at least for the next one week) and leading the series leaderboard at the moment is the ever-consistent Sam ‘thereallokomon’ Anand with 7,379 points. The final results of the leaderboard will be announced after the PPL High Roller, and The MoneyMaker play down to a champion on October 7 & 8 respectively.

The other big guaranteed tournament at PokerBaazi was the PPL #47 BSS SuperStack ₹30 Lakhs GTD. Championing the event was Mukesh Mukteshwar0710’ Srivastava who defeated Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot heads-up to capture the title along with ₹7.61 Lakhs in prize money. Munot took home an impressive ₹5.33 Lakhs for finishing runner-up.

Ananya ‘acesaregood9’ Choudhary (PPL#45 BSS PLO ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.50 Lakhs), Anmol ‘anzzzzz’ Mehta (PPL #48 BSS MegaStack ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.37 Lakhs) and Anurag ‘13anurag’ Shrivastava (PPL#44 ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹48,944) took down the other PPL events on PokerBaazi yesterday.

An inspiring story to come out of last Sunday’s online action was that of Ameya ‘volcy’ Gokhale. After failing to score in all other Sunday majors across several platforms, Gokhale was on the verge of giving up hope, but it seems that Lady Luck had other plans for him. He received a text message from Adda52 offering him a 50% discount on the buy-in of the Mega Suits ₹25 Lakhs GTD. Gokhale grabbed onto the opportunity and the rest, as they say, is history. Gokhale obliterated a field of 515 entries (308 unique and 207 re-entries) in the Mega Suits that generated a massive ₹25.75 Lakhs prize pool, to take home a colossal ₹6.18 Lakhs payday!

Akshay ‘NoFuchsGiven’ Dhingra (Big Slick ₹15 Lakhs GTD for ₹2.44 Lakhs) and Akshay ‘vibaks’ Nasa (Sunday Hexagram ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹84,750) were the other prominent winners on Adda52 last night.

Aditya Sushant has been in cracking form over the past few weeks, in fact, we have lost count of the number times we have mentioned him recently! The poster boy of Indian poker was in unstoppable mode last night as he scored in a total of six events that saw him picking up one title and two runner-up finishes! After finishing second in 9stacks’ The Joker ₹15 Lakhs GTD (runner-up for ₹2.47 Lakhs) and PokerStars India’s Sunday PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD (runner-up for ₹57,341), the WSOP bracelet winner took down Spartan Poker’s 5 For 5, locking in the ₹5 Lakhs up top. Additionally, he also cashed in Sunday SuperStack ₹30 Lakhs GTD (12th for ₹40,414), Sunday Special – Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD (20th for ₹11,336) and PPL#45 BSS PLO ₹5 Lakhs GTD (22nd for ₹5,984).

Seasoned pro and a renowned name on the virtual felts, Rajat ‘GarammasaIa’ Sharma took down Spartan Poker’s mainstay Sunday tournament, Sunday SuperStack ₹30 Lakhs GTD, winning ₹4.93 Lakhs after a heads-up deal with Neel ‘Worm33’ Joshi (runner-up for ₹4.79 Lakhs). Meanwhile, ‘InfiNitty’ won the Electric Big Daddy ₹6 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.20 Lakhs.

The Sunday Special – Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD on PokerStars India once again surpassed its advertised guarantee and this week, the event collected ₹15.05 Lakhs in the prize pool after attracting 301 entries (177 unique and 124 re-entries). Devang ‘trappyfish93’ Yadav had to face Sreekanth ‘LaganaHiToHai’ Narayan in the final showdown and collected ₹2.94 Lakhs in first-place prize money, following a heads-up chop which saw Narayan walk away ₹1.44 Lakhs richer.

The Sunday Special (L) ₹10 Lakhs GTD, on the other hand, posted a slight overlay of about ₹36,400 through 292 entries (172 unique and 120 re-entries). The tournament was championed by ‘vikramDotExe’ for ₹1.43 Lakhs, who made a three-way deal with Rajat ‘Rsd1207’ Singh Dhingra (runner-up for ₹1.33 Lakhs) and Tathagata ‘RadioActivity’ Sengupta (3rd for ₹1.54 Lakhs). ‘azmadh’ topped the 60-entry field (32 unique and 28 re-entries) in the Sunday PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹59,534.

9stacks’ Sunday extravaganza, The Joker ₹15 Lakhs GTD, suffered a slight shortfall of ₹5,000 in meeting the prize pool guarantee and was taken down by Bharat ‘rungooserun’ Vasan, who pocketed a cool ₹3.67 Lakhs in the process.

At Khelo365, the biggest Sunday winner was ‘firehawk729’ who overcame a 29-strong field to win the Big Bang ₹1 Lakhs GTD for ₹46,000. The other tourney, Deep Stack ₹60K GTD crowned a champion in ‘chintak’ who won ₹27,600 for his efforts.
