On February 11, tournament provider and broadcaster, Poker Central announced an exclusive partnership deal with the online poker room, Global Poker. This announcement comes a week after Poker Central acquired the rights to the High Stakes Poker brand.

This partnership makes Global Poker the official online poker partner for several of Poker Central’s premier live events like the Super High Roller Bowl, Poker Masters, U.S. Poker Open, Poker After Dark, along with additional domestic and international highlighted events.

This partnership will include innovative live streaming integrations for Global Poker with Poker Central that will provide better poker viewing experience, both on-site and via streaming. Additionally, an all-new “Global Poker Lounge” will be created inside the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.

Poker Central made the above announcement through a press release and on Twitter.

The President of Poker Central, Sampson Simmons, commenting on the partnership, said, “Kicking off this partnership with Global Poker has been a dream come true for our team, Our two companies share a common goal of making poker accessible to fans worldwide, and this partnership will allow both to advance that mission through live events and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.”

Global Poker and Chumba Casino are owned by Virtual Gaming Worlds (VGW) GP Limited. Global Poker is one of the few sweepstake sites operating in the U.S. It offers traditional online poker games like Texas Hold’em and Omaha but not precisely for real or play money. Players compete for Sweeps Coins (the site’s digital currency), which can be redeemed for prizes. With this new tie-up, Global Poker will provide its players with exclusive meet and greets, special giveaways, and online qualifiers during Poker Central’s events.

Elaborating further on the partnership, General Manager of Global Poker, David Lyons, said, “Given the prestige of Poker Central’s events, bringing our brands together feels like the next step in taking both partners to the next level. This partnership will not only promote the events but offer countless opportunities to bring poker players and enthusiasts from all over the world into the action.”
