Sunday was an action-packed day for online poker players, with several big tournaments taking place across different platforms. Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire returned after a two-month hiatus, while PokerBaazi’s PLO Championship 2.0 and Adda52’s Nano Poker Series also drew plenty of players.
But there is more to look forward to as PokerStars India’s ‘5 Year Anniversary Fiesta’ will host the four-day Anniversary Special boosted guaranteed tournaments from April 26.
The former APT Online India champion Arman Khan stole the show by winning the Spartan Poker-hosted The Millionaire. Khan dominated the competition to earn a career-best ₹17.20 Lakhs, posting his first title win in two months. He carried three stacks to Day 2 of the weekend flagship and made the money from all of them for a jaw-dropping ₹17.77 Lakhs in total earnings.
Kartik Ved, the former WSOP champion, was close on Khan’s heels, chasing his third The Millionaire title. He settled for a second-place finish worth ₹10.04 Lakhs (from four stacks) and walked away with ₹11.52 Lakhs in Sunday winnings across four deep runs.
Young Gun Neel Joshi took third place on the Sunday charts, with a healthy payout of ₹9.29 Lakhs. Joshi ended a six-week-long dry spell by shipping Adda52’s Big Whale for ₹9.17 Lakhs, his best finish of the year. Shuchi Chamaria finished as runner-up, converting a ₹1,650 satellite buy-in into a career-best ₹6.08 Lakhs payday.
The reigning NPS#104 Golden Rush champion Kabir Tandon added ₹9.19 Lakhs from four Sunday scores, most notably championing Spartan Poker’s Sunday Superstack for ₹7.44 Lakhs. Ritika Kumari banked a personal-best ₹5.01 Lakhs as the runner-up.
The IOPC 13.0 The Crown champion Saurabh Rohila had a terrific Sunday session, winning two tournaments and netting ₹8.68 Lakhs overall. Rohila won Spartan Poker’s Deepstack Turbo (6-Max) for ₹3.89 Lakhs after defeating Myron Pereira (2nd for ₹2.62 Lakhs) heads-up. Just minutes later, he took down PokerBaazi’s PC#15 (PLO-6) for ₹3.49 Lakhs after denying Bhanu Prakash KC (2nd for 2.32 Lakhs) the title. With this, Rohila breached the ₹2 Crores mark in online profits.
The first-ever IOPC The Crown champion, Harshit Sanghi, was another big Sunday winner. He nailed PokerBaazi’s PC#14 (PLO-4) for ₹86,050 and placed third in Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire for a hefty ₹6.72 Lakhs, bringing his total Sunday winnings to ₹8.08 Lakhs.
Gaurav Mittal (Won PC#13 (PLO-5) PK for ₹2.22 Lakhs), and Nitin Rawat (Won PC#16 (PLO-5) for ₹1.02 Lakhs) bagged the other PLO Championship titles on Sunday.
The former The Endeavour champion Shyam Sundar conquered PokerBaazi’s (7-Max) BSS Championship for a site-best ₹5.14 Lakhs, striking a three-way deal with ‘Jumbofish’ (2nd for ₹4.77 Lakhs) and Mayank Maruka (3rd for ₹3.92 Lakhs).
Maruka raked in ₹5.51 Lakhs from four Sunday scores, crossing ₹2.50 Crores in tracked online winnings.
Amit Kaushik championed Adda52`s Nano Highroller for ₹2.85 Lakhs (won ₹4.09 Lakhs overall). Samyak Sethi finished runner-up for ₹2.09 Lakhs (won ₹3.50 Lakhs overall).
Gautam Bansal came out on top in PokerBaazi’s BSS HighRoller to win ₹3.84 Lakhs (won ₹3.96 Lakhs overall), following a four-way deal with Sahil Babbar (2nd for ₹3.62 Lakhs), Raghav Chauhan (3rd for ₹3.58 Lakhs), and ‘ace. high’ (4th for ₹3.21 Lakhs).
