The third Sunday of January was a blockbuster one! With PokerBaazi`s PokerBaazi Classics and IndiaPlays’ rake-free Resolution Series underway and PokerStars India Winter Series 5.0 and Adda52’s Nano Poker Series wrapping up proceedings, there were innumerable mouth-watering MTTs on offer!

Grabbing the top billing on Sunday night (or the wee hours of Monday morning) was Deepankur Gupta. The former The Millionaire champion raced past the 149-entry field in Adda52’s brand-new Sunday headliner, Top Liners, taking home a personal-best ₹18.46 Lakhs (his fifth seven-figure score), which was also the day’s single-biggest score. Gupta fired up another four deep runs, including finishing runner-up in PokerBaazi’s BSS MonsterStack (₹1.08 Lakhs), netting a jaw-dropping ₹20 Lakhs overall!

Ashutosh Balodhi missed out on claiming the Top Liners title but banked an equally impressive ₹14.54 Lakhs as the runner-up (won ₹14.97 Lakhs overall).

The biggest-guaranteed tournament on Sunday, PokerBaazi’s ₹1 Crore GTD PBC#1 The MoneyMaker, ran for over nine hours! The user ‘Elamani’ came out on top, clinching the bragging right of becoming the 19th MoneyMaker champion, converting a ₹550 satellite buy-in into a personal-best ₹14 Lakhs payday! Another satellite qualifier, Kunal Agrawal, parlayed his ₹1,100 satellite investment into a runner-up finish worth ₹8.65 Lakhs (his career-best score).

Joining the list of players banking seven-figure paycheques was Aniket Waghmare. The first-ever IOPC MasterMind championed Spartan Poker’s Sunday flagship, Sunday Superstack (IOPC Bubble), banking the ₹7.04 Lakhs up top. He took home ₹11.06 Lakhs in Sunday earnings. Vinay B finished second in the Sunday Superstack for ₹6.92 Lakhs (won ₹8.32 Lakhs overall).

Navaneesha P nailed PokerBaazi’s (7-Max) BSS Championship for his second-best online score of ₹6.22 Lakhs (won ₹6.39 Lakhs overall). Vishnu Khandelwal placed second for ₹4.13 Lakhs.

WSOP bracelet winner Kartik Ved was another trailblazer with ₹10.62 Lakhs in Sunday winnings. He won Spartan Poker’s Battlezone for ₹1.47 Lakhs and made a fourth-place finish in Adda52’s Top Liners for ₹7.13 Lakhs.

Coming off a terrific 2022, Ashish Munot has retained his form. The MTT pro scored his first title victory of the year in style by shipping PokerStars India’s Winter Series-55 [Main Event-PKO] for a site-best ₹8.15 Lakhs. Mrinal Manna earned a second-place payout of ₹4.69 Lakhs.

Ram Kakkar accumulated at least ₹6.28 Lakhs in total winnings, including Spartan Poker’s Deepstack Turbo (IOPC FT) title for ₹3.53 Lakhs.

The most profitable online MTT player of 2022, Sahil Chutani took down PokerBaazi’s BSS HighRoller for ₹5.30 Lakhs, just as Aditya Singh finished runner-up for ₹3.50 Lakhs (won ₹4.81 Lakhs overall).
