This Sunday was indeed a ‘legendary’ one, with Spartan Poker’s Legend Poker Series, PokerBaazi’s APT Online India Series, and Adda52’s Series of Legends closing their respective editions with a BANG!
Sunday`s biggest guaranteed tournament, Spartan Poker’s ₹2.50 Crores GTD LEGEND #114 Main Event, expectedly crowned the day’s biggest winner. Dhinesh Kumar fired at least nine bullets in the multi-flight headliner to take home Sunday’s single largest payout worth ₹30.74 Lakhs (from three cashes) and the bragging right of becoming the first-ever Legend Poker Series Main Event champion! Kumar made another two deep runs for a jaw-dropping ₹32.28 Lakhs in Sunday winnings.
Before taking down the LPS Main Event title, Kumar struck a three-way deal with Pradip Ghosh (2nd for a career-best ₹24.66 Lakhs) and Armaan Kochhar (3rd for ₹24.55 Lakhs). The ever-consistent Ghosh made away with a whopping ₹26.90 Lakhs last night from five deep runs.
The POY race frontrunner, Young Gun Anuj Yadav, has left the competition in the dust by reeling in at least ₹17.89 Lakhs in Sunday winnings on the back of deep runs in Spartan Poker’s LEGEND #114 Main Event (5th for ₹8.87 Lakhs), LEGEND #112 Sunday Magnate (9th for ₹1.25 Lakhs) and PokerBaazi’s APT#51 Main Event (3rd for ₹6.96 Lakhs).
Poker coach Ashish Munot, currently in Vietnam for the 2022 APT Da Nang Vietnam VSOP, took time out for an online session and ended up championing Spartan Poker’s LEGEND #112 Sunday Magnate for ₹12.26 Lakhs (his second-best score of 2022). Amit Gehani finished runner-up for ₹8.45 Lakhs (won ~₹10 Lakhs overall).
Sumit Sapra clinched his maiden LPS title in Spartan Poker’s LEGEND #110 Sunday Showdown, netting ₹9.28 Lakhs (won ₹10.69 Lakhs overall). Mahesh Shyamsundar had been in rip-roaring form in the LPS and ended things on a high by finishing runner-up in the Sunday Showdown for ₹6.17 Lakhs (won ₹9.30 Lakhs overall). He pocketed an additional ₹6.10 Lakhs in Bonus Money from top finishes in three LPS leaderboards.
Rubin Labroo reeled in ₹7.39 Lakhs across six ITM finishes and won his second LPS title in Spartan Poker`s LEGEND #113 Deepstack Turbo for ₹5.13 Lakhs.
Young Gun Karan Radia continued his winning spree, claiming his first title of the month in Spartan Poker`s LEGEND #111 for ₹3.90 Lakhs, securing at least ₹7.64 Lakhs in total winnings.
