This Sunday was undoubtedly one of the most action-packed ones of the year, with all the big guns coming out to play the marquees! With the online leg of the National Poker Series 2.0 now in the books, the action will shift to the coastal state of Goa, where the final tables of the NPS Main Event, NPS Golden Rush, and NPS Super Highroller will crown champions!
Speaking of the Sunday champions, PokerGuru Staking’s Kartik Ved was the day`s top scorer. The WSOP bracelet winner took down Spartan Poker’s The Prestige for an impressive second time, banking a ginormous ₹9.35 Lakhs. He scored in six events yesterday, locking in ₹10.63 Lakhs cumulatively. Ved will also be headlining the final table of the NPS#69 Super Highroller on Wednesday.
Chirag Sodha was the other pro who shined bright yesterday. He pocketed ₹3.94 Lakhs in Sunday winnings on the back of three deep runs, including claiming Spartan Poker’s Money Heist title. However, his most significant achievement was bagging the chip lead for the eight-handed NPS Main Event final table to be held in Goa.
Sankesh Kumar A Jain bagged the FT chip lead in the third NPS marquee, NPS Golden Rush.
Coming to the other Sunday majors, Anant Purohit was another seasoned pro who banked seven-figure winnings. Purohit claimed his second NPS gold medal in NPS#80 Sunday Marathon for ₹5.93 Lakhs. He cashed in five events, adding ₹10.31 Lakhs overall.
Akshat Sharma (Won NPS#84 SPRINT for ₹3.27 Lakhs), Anirudh Reddy (Won NPS#81 Sunday Sail for ₹2.46 Lakhs), and Shagun Jain (Won NPS#78 Sunday Smash for ₹1.27 Lakhs) captured the other NPS titles.
Shagun Jain`s Sunday win ensured him the #1 position in the NPS Podium standings, netting him a Las Vegas package worth ₹10 Lakhs. He also finished #2 in the NPS leaderboard standings for ₹7.60 Lakhs.
Kapil Arora was the last player standing in Spartan Poker’s Sunday Superstack and collected the ₹7.64 Lakhs up-top. He made away with ₹8.74 Lakhs in cumulative earnings.
Joining Sunday’s elite winner’s list was PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja, who took down PokerStars India’s Sunday Special Progressive KO for ₹2.42 Lakhs. He ran deep in eight tourneys, raking in ₹7.85 Lakhs (overall) to storm into the top five in the annual leaderboard rankings.
Young Gun Karan Radia won the Adda52 Millions for ₹5.01 Lakhs following a three-way deal. Similarly, after a three-way deal, Rubin Labroo took down Adda52’s Mega Suits for ₹5.18 Lakhs.

While Rohit ‘ChubbyGhost’ Begwani (15,063 points) held onto his lead to win the series’ leaderboard for ₹10 Lakhs, Shagun ‘sogani22’ Jain (14,574 points) edged past Vinay ‘vinay09’ Rajpal (14,102 points) to collect ₹7.60 Lakhs in second place. Rajpal finished third for ₹5.25 Lakhs.
