This past Sunday, more than delivered on expectations as PokerBaazi’s 1000X Series closed out a very successful second edition even as PokerStars India’s Winter Series 5.0 hit the midway mark.
Topping the Sunday charts was Tarush Gupta, who clinched his first title of 2023 after championing the Adda52 Big Game for a jaw-dropping ₹16.25 Lakhs (his third seven-figure online score). ‘AkkiDan007’ came second for ₹9.69 Lakhs.
Vishal Bajaj had a trailblazing Sunday run as well, for he shipped Spartan Poker’s Sunday Superstack for the third time last night for ₹8.98 Lakhs (won ₹9.86 Lakhs overall).

The two-time POY topper Young Gun Gaurav Sood is already off to a scintillating start in 2023 and picked up his second title of the year in PokerBaazi’s 1000X#32 Main Event, banking ₹7.89 Lakhs (won ₹9.80 Lakhs overall). The Player Hunt Season 2 champion Samay Singh Modi finished runner-up for ₹4.80 Lakhs (won ₹5.01 Lakhs overall).
Faiz Alam (Won 1000X#33 MegaStack for ₹2.54 Lakhs), Shrvan Amlekar (Won 1000X#34 Afterparty for ₹1.66 Lakhs), Harsh Bubna (Won 1000X#30 (KO) for ₹1.53 Lakhs), and Neeraj Kumar (Won 1000X#31 (PLO-6) for ₹99,250) captured the last few 1000X Series titles on Sunday.
Sanat Mehrotra was another Young Gun making the Sunday breakout winners lineup. Picking up his second title of 2023 and fifth in three weeks, Mehrotra made a clean sweep of the competition in PokerBaazi’s BSS HighRoller, taking home ₹4.91 Lakhs (won ₹7.04 Lakhs overall).
Neel Joshi is the third Young Gun making the Sunday cover. The chemical engineer from BITS Pilani added ₹5.67 Lakhs to his bankroll and won his maiden title of 2023 in PokerBaazi’s (7-Max) BSS Championship for ₹5.24 Lakhs. Fellow Young Gun Aayush Arya secured a runner-up payout worth ₹4.84 Lakhs.
Vinay Rajpal captured his second Winter Series High Roller title in less than a week. The leaderboard crusher shipped PokerStars India’s Winter Series-21 [Sunday High Roller] for ₹4.63 Lakhs (won ₹5.28 Lakhs overall), while Sreekanth Narayan placed runner-up for ₹3.42 Lakhs.
Prem Poonia outlasted the other nine Destiny 25.0 winners to ship the DESTINY 25.0 SnG Finale, winning a Prague package worth ₹5 Lakhs.
