Guarantee-Smashing IOPC July Edition is All Set to Host the Millionaire Legends!

It’s been nine days since the biggest-ever India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) returned for its July edition on Spartan Poker. The series has been a phenomenal success thus far. A total of 63 events have played out, all of which have successfully crushed their respective guarantees!

An Overview of the Completed IOPC Events:

With a jaw-dropping ₹25 Crores in guaranteed prizes on offer, the crème de la crème of the series is the much-awaited IOPC Main Event – The Crown ₹3 Crore GTD. This highly sought-after event starts on July 20 and will run for 7 days till July 26. It will award the eventual winner a real-life majestic crown!

IOPC Millionaire Legends ₹1.5 Crore GTD

The series has two Millionaire events on the schedule. The first of which, the IOPC The Millionaire United ₹1.5 Crore GTD, commenced on July 10 and was shipped by Manish’ thekid’ Lakhotia on July 12 for ₹15.75 Lakhs.

The next Millionaire tourney on the schedule is the ₹1.5 Crore GTD Millionaire Legends. Sporting a ₹27,000 buy-in, the Millionaire Legends is the costliest tourney between the two Millionaires on the IOPC schedule. The event will kick-off at 6 PM on July 18 with Day 1A. Day 1B (12 PM) and Day 1C (4 PM) will both play out on July 19. Day 2 will begin at 10 PM on the same day.

A plethora of satellites to this flagship tourney have taken place on Spartan Poker since July 13 and there are many more that will play out until 2.30 PM on July 19.

The Millionaire Legends was the new Millionaire edition introduced by Spartan Poker in November last year. The first player to clinch the title was Anish’ Illusionist’ Patra, who won ₹46.21 Lakhs.

High-stakes player Dhruvin’ thepokerplayer’ Kothari captured the next Millionaire Legends title in January during 2020’s first IOPC edition. He banked a mouth-watering ₹36.77 Lakhs for his efforts.

The most recent Millionaire Legends champion was our former Young Gun and the first-ever Millionaire winner Manoj’ MRBLUE’ Pentakota. He triumphed over a 653-entry field to pocket ₹40.81 Lakhs in prize money.

Game of Tickets

With buy-ins ranging from ₹550 to ₹1.05 Lakhs, some of the marquee IOPC tourneys may not be within reach of the low-to-mid stakes players. Moreover, cash game players need an extra incentive to join this tournament extravaganza. Keeping the benefit of all their player bases in mind, Spartan Poker came up with the brand-new ‘Game of Tickets’ promotion. Under this promotion, players can win tickets to three of the remaining headline events at the IOPC, namely:

> IOPC The Millionaire Legends ₹1.5 Crore GTD (July 18-19)

> IOPC Main Event – The Crown ₹3 Crore GTD (July 20 – 26)

> IOPC Super High Roller ₹1 Crore GTD (July 23)

The promotion is underway on the site since July 1 and offers cash game players a chance to win tickets to the headline tourneys mentioned above. To win the tickets, players have to play a set number of hands at the cash tables. The higher the stakes they play, the faster they can win a free ticket to these IOPC events.

The Game of Tickets is available across all stakes. While playing the high-stakes at ₹500/₹1,000 and ₹1,000/₹2,000 will get players the tickets faster, players can also play ₹5/₹10, ₹10/25 stakes, but will need to put in some volume.

IOPC Leaderboard

Besides the never-before-seen ₹25 Crores in prize pool guarantees, the series is also hosting the IOPC Leaderboard. The top players on the leaderboard will be awarded various prizes starting from ₹1.20 Lakhs, going up to a whopping ₹50 Lakhs!
