Spartan Poker’s ₹25+ Crores GTD Legend Poker Series is Off to a Guarantee-Crushing Start; #LegendsOfTomorrow Trends on Twitter

India’s leading online poker site Spartan Poker has dished out choc-a-block action throughout November. With the holiday season around the corner, the poker giant will be closing out the month in style with its ongoing ₹25+ Crores GTD Legend Poker Series, adding the finishing touch to what has already been a terrific November for tournament players.

Living up to all the hype, the Legend Poker Series made a grand debut on November 24, with all the Day 1 marquee`s registering guarantee-crushing turnouts! While the series grabbed the attention of poker lovers on the felts, it got quite a bit of attention on Twitter! The LPS tagline ‘#LegendsOfTomorrow’ was trending on Twitter till early evening yesterday!

While Day 1 was undoubtedly action-packed, the best is yet to come! The biggest draw of this ‘legendary’ series is indubitably the ₹2.50 Crores GTD Legend Main Event. The ₹11,000 entry buy-in Main Event will host eight starting flights from December 5 to 11.

Other featured events sporting eight-figure guarantees include:

• ₹1.50 Crores GTD Legend #25 Esteem (November 24 to 27)
• ₹1 Crore GTD Legend #49 High Roller (December 1)
• ₹1 Crore GTD Legend #70 Sterling (December 1 to 4)

Legend Poker Series: Day 1 Recap

The first day of the series had seven MTTs on tap and crowned six champions.

Himanshu Arora championed the opening day headliner, ₹30 Lakhs GTD LEGEND #5 – Thursday Magnate, trouncing a 167-entry field to claim the lion’s share of the ₹33.40 Lakhs prize pool worth ₹8.40 Lakhs. Young Gun Sanat Mehrotra came second for ₹5.68 Lakhs, parlaying a ₹1,650 satellite buy-in into a hefty six-figure payday!

WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer locked in a ₹5.46 Lakhs top prize after shipping the ₹30 Lakhs GTD LEGEND #3 Thursday Showdown. He struck a heads-up deal with last night`s ₹6 Lakhs GTD Legend #2 Thunder champion Ramandeep Singh Bedi, with the latter banking ₹5.15 Lakhs in second place.

Bedi clinched his maiden title on Spartan Poker in the Legend #2 Thunder, pocketing ₹71,148 up top, following a five-way deal with ‘Manny456’ (2nd for ₹61,123), ‘Lucky_Patcher’ (3rd for ₹58,760), ‘Kalakhata’ (4th for ₹52,469), and ‘Pradyumnah’ (5th for ₹40,907).

Yash Chitre took down the ₹20 Lakhs GTD LEGEND #1 Genesis for a site-best ₹2.98 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Ganesh Kamat (2nd for a career-best ₹2.77 Lakhs).

The IPC Megastacks Main Event champion, Young Gun Siddhanth Kripalani, broke a ten-day-long dry spell in boisterous fashion as he cruised past a 542-entry field in the ₹8 Lakhs GTD Legend #6 (Turbo LBD), taking home the ₹2.11 Lakhs top prize!

Parag Shah won the ₹3 Lakhs GTD Legend #4 PLO4 for ₹75,709.

Running alongside the LPS tourneys was Day 1A of the ₹1.50 Crores GTD Legend Esteem. The opening flight logged 309 entries, with 39 of them making it to Day 2. Ayush Garg (357,833) bagged the day-end chip lead. Four more starting flights are slated to play out, with Day 2 scheduled for 10 PM on Sunday, November 27.

Legend Poker Series Leaderboards: Day 1

The Legend Poker Series has six dedicated leaderboards for the different game formats, guaranteeing a jaw-dropping ₹75 Lakhs between them. Five of these leaderboard races got off the mark yesterday.

Legend – High Roller Leaderboard – ₹20 Lakhs GTD

Expectedly, the top ten finishers in the LEGEND #5 – Thursday Magnate grabbed the top spots on the Legend – High Roller Leaderboard, with Himanshu Arora (565 points), Sanat Mehrotra (400 points) and Suraj Yadav (326 points) rounding off the top three ranks.

Legend – Deepstack Leaderboard – ₹15 Lakhs GTD

Young Gun Abhinav Iyer (857 points) took over an early lead in the Legend – Deepstack Leaderboard race. Ramandeep Singh Bedi (606 points) and Ankit Wadhawan (494 points) grabbed the next two spots.

Legend – Mix Hold’em LBD Leaderboard – ₹10 Lakhs GTD

The LEGEND #1 Genesis champion Yash Chitre (1,601 points), headlines the Legend – Mix Hold’em LBD Leaderboard, followed by Ganesh Kamat (1,132 points) and Vinay Verma (924 points) in second and third places, respectively.

Legend – Turbo Leaderboard – ₹10 Lakhs GTD

Young Gun Siddhanth Kripalani (811 points) pulled ahead into the #1 position on the Legend – Turbo Leaderboard on Day 1 and is followed by ‘Vipulpapriwal’ (573 points) and Abhishek Kumar Chaurasia (468 points).

Legend – PLO Leaderboard – ₹10 Lakhs GTD

Parag Shah (651 points), ‘Newsharkintown’ (461 points), and Young Gun Karan Radia (376 points) occupy the three ranks on the Legend – PLO Leaderboard.
