It was well-known poker pro Manoj Pentakota who was named the first- ever Millionaire champion way back in September 2016. This flagship tourney has since climbed up in prominence to become the crowning jewel of the tournament-centric site`s offerings.
It was only last year that Spartan Poker began expanding its portfolio of Millionaire offerings. Exploring new variants, the brand brought in a more exclusive The Millionaire Legends, and even introduced lower buy-in versions like The Millionaire X5 – ₹10 Lakhs to Top 5 and The Millionaire LITE ₹50 Lakhs GTD.
2020 has been equally packed with sizzling Millionaire editions, and five months into the year, Spartan Poker has already added a dozen new Millionaire champions.
The most massive Millionaire edition of the year so far has been the IOPC Millionaire Main Event that took place in March. It was Anurag ‘Norman Bates’ Srivastava, who topped a large field of 3,489 entries to become the biggest Millionaire champion so far, collecting ₹60.34 Lakhs in the tourney. The same month, Pentakota went on to add a second Millionaire title to his name, this time in The Millionaire Legends.
The site`s latest Millionaire variant – Millionaire United ₹1 Crore GTD – debuted on March 29. It was Mahima Walia ‘mambojojo’ Das who grabbed the glory and the ₹21.93 Lakhs up top after outrunning a field of 1,764 entries.
While these have been the year’s highlights from the Millionaire franchise, there have been others like PokerGuru Ambassador Parikshit Dhall, Anuj Yadav, Chirag Sodha and Saurabh Rohila, to only name a few, who have won Millionaire titles as well!
