Like most Sundays, yesterday too was an extravagant affair that saw a nice mix of established names and rising talents claim titles in the flagship tourneys.
Spartan Poker
The biggest draw yesterday was indubitably the SSS The Millionaire ₹1 Crore GTD that registered 1,076 entries (491 unique, 273 re-entries and 312 re-buys), collecting a colossal ₹1.07 Crore prize pool. India’s first WSOP bracelet winner Aditya ‘SuperuSer’ Sushant, proved yet again why he is considered by many as the ‘poster boy’ of Indian poker. He outlasted the likes of Pranay ‘kabira speaking’ Chawla (6th for ₹3.97 Lakhs) and PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj (9th for ₹1.53 Lakhs) on the final table. In the heads-up finale, he toppled Sathish ‘Jaqkten’ Ananth (runner-up for ₹12.38 Lakhs), before claiming his first-ever Millionaire title for his best score on Spartan Poker worth ₹20.32 Lakhs. Sushant’s overall recorded online earnings have now reached ₹3.26 Crores.
Leading the charge for Team PokerGuru was Madhav ‘Madzoopa’ Gupta who triumphed over 989 entries (485 unique, 207 re-entries and 297 re-buys) in the SSS Sunday SuperStack ₹50 Lakhs GTD, and walked away with a hefty ₹9.47 Lakhs payday. ‘thejoker’ came is second for ₹5.79 Lakhs. Gupta’s fellow Team Ambassador Gokul Raj also final tabled this tourney, placing eighth for ₹94,500.
The SSS Big Daddy ₹10 Lakhs GTD posted ₹10.26 Lakhs in prize money through 513 entries (273 unique, 62 re-entries, and 178 re-buys). Seasoned MTT pro Neeraj ‘SelfClaimedPros’ Kumar took down the event for ₹1.64 Lakhs, following a heads-up deal with ‘ranksster’ (runner-up for ₹1.61 Lakhs).
PokerBaazi
The Sunday bonanza on PokerBaazi, the BSS SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD, saw a field of 550 entries (288 unique and 262 re-entries) accumulating ₹27.50 Lakhs in the prize pool. Neel ‘Worm33’ Joshi, who was recently in the news for finishing runner-up in the EndBoss ₹5 Crores GTD for a career-best ₹65.01 Lakhs, made headlines once again, this time for shipping the BSS SuperStack for ₹5.34 Lakhs. Siddhanth ‘ender’ Kripalani came in second for ₹3.75 Lakhs. Joshi also final tabled PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller, finishing sixth for ₹1.27 Lakhs.
The other headline tourney on PokerBaazi, the BSS MegaStack ₹10 Lakhs GTD, just about managed to surpass its advertised guarantee and collected a ₹10.25 Lakhs prize pool on the back of 410 participants (228 unique and 182 re-entries). The MegaStack crowned a champion in ‘SaniyaIND’ who took home ₹2.15 Lakhs in first-place prize money, after besting ‘thejoker’ (runner-up for ₹1.51 Lakhs) heads-up.

Similar to Spartan Poker’s Millionaire series, Adda52 has also been hosting its weekly Full House ₹1 Crore GTD every Sunday. Last night, the flagship tourney failed to meet its listed guarantee and fell short by ₹3.65 Lakhs, after logging in 1,927 entries (Day 1A – 333, Day 1B – 211, Day 1C – 334, Day 1D – 385, and Day 1E – 664) across five starting flights. Anonymous user ‘grovahova’ emerged victorious and banked a mouth-watering ₹20 Lakhs up top. Seasoned poker pro Dhaval ‘dirtyzoso’ Mudgal has been in phenomenal form over the past few weeks. He added yet another deep run to his resume by finishing runner-up for ₹11.79 Lakhs.
Another online reg Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma sailed past a 345-strong entry field (207 unique and 138 re-entries) in the AOPS Panjim ₹35 Lakhs GTD, and bagged a winner’s paycheque worth ₹8.75 Lakhs. Young Gun Ujjwal ‘fourteenk’ Narwal finished runner-up for ₹5.30 Lakhs.
The AOPS Colva ₹20 Lakhs GTD was championed by Raghav ‘Raghavv’ Siddalinga who ran past a field of 965 hopefuls (532 unique and 433 re-entries) and pocketed the lion’s share of the ₹21.71 Lakhs prize pool worth ₹3.90 Lakhs, after agreeing to a heads-up deal with ‘InchWorm’ (runner-up for ₹3.71 Lakhs).

The 2020 India Summer Championship of Online Poker (INSCOOP) kicked off on May 10. Comprising of 185 events, including 90 progressive PKOs, the series offering a jaw-dropping ₹8.1 Crores in prize pool guarantees! The marquees events on yesterday`s schedule were the Sunday Special ₹25 Lakhs GTD and the Sunday Highroller ₹30 Lakhs GTD.
The Sunday Highroller drew in a crowd of 227 entries (138 unique and 89 re-entries), falling ₹1.62 Lakhs short of the offered guarantee. Improving upon his runner-up finish in the AOPS Panjim, Ujjwal ‘CougarHunter69’ Narwal defeated Young Gun Gaurav ‘3betPanda’ Sood heads-up to win the Sunday Highroller last night for ₹5.78 Lakhs. Sood locked in ₹4.27 lakhs for his runner-up finish.
The Sunday Special fared much better and generated a prize pool of ₹25.95 Lakhs after clocking in 519 entries (312 unique and 207 re-entries). Sanish ‘sneakysani’ Chhabra won the event for ₹4.91 Lakhs. Chhabra also scored in the SSS The Millionaire (14th for ₹1.01 Lakhs) and the SSS Reloaded (9th for ₹10,450).
Another event that deserves mention is the PokerStars Anniversary Freeroll ₹10 Lakhs Added. A total of 7,630 runners participated, but only the top 2,025 were assured payouts. In the end, ‘kaila0218’ topped the field and banked the ₹1.25 Lakhs up top.

The third edition of Adda52’s Full House ₹1 Crore GTD drew 1,927 hopefuls (Day 1A – 333, Day 1B – 211, Day 1C – 334, Day 1D – 385, and Day 1E – 664) through five starting flights, resulting in an overlay of ₹3.65 Lakhs. Among them, only 234 players (Day 1A – 37, Day 1B – 24, Day 1C – 37, Day 1D – 46, and Day 1E – 90) were able to survive the first 29 levels of the event. With six players carrying their best stacks, only 228 contenders went on to play Day 2 of the tourney.
Mystery user ‘grovahova’ sprinted to the top where he squared off against Dhaval ‘dirtyzoso’ Mudgal heads-up before taking down the title and the top prize of ₹20 Lakhs. Mudgal finished in second-place for ₹11.79 Lakhs.
This was Mudgal’s best score on Adda52. His previous best score was a runner-up finish in the Godfather 2.0 back in April 2018 for ₹3.30 Lakhs. This also happens to be his second-best overall score only behind his last week’s third-place finish in Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire Legends for ₹13.5 Lakhs.
