Like most Sundays, yesterday too was an extravagant affair that saw a nice mix of established names and rising talents claim titles in the flagship tourneys.

Spartan Poker

The biggest draw yesterday was indubitably the SSS The Millionaire 1 Crore GTD that registered 1,076 entries (491 unique, 273 re-entries and 312 re-buys), collecting a colossal 1.07 Crore prize pool. India’s first WSOP bracelet winner Aditya ‘SuperuSer’ Sushant, proved yet again why he is considered by many as the ‘poster boy’ of Indian poker. He outlasted the likes of Pranay ‘kabira speaking’ Chawla (6th for 3.97 Lakhs) and PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj (9th for 1.53 Lakhs) on the final table. In the heads-up finale, he toppled Sathish ‘Jaqkten’ Ananth (runner-up for 12.38 Lakhs), before claiming his first-ever Millionaire title for his best score on Spartan Poker worth 20.32 Lakhs. Sushant’s overall recorded online earnings have now reached 3.26 Crores.

Leading the charge for Team PokerGuru was Madhav ‘Madzoopa’ Gupta who triumphed over 989 entries (485 unique, 207 re-entries and 297 re-buys) in the SSS Sunday SuperStack 50 Lakhs GTD, and walked away with a hefty 9.47 Lakhs payday. ‘thejoker’ came is second for 5.79 Lakhs. Gupta’s fellow Team Ambassador Gokul Raj also final tabled this tourney, placing eighth for 94,500.

The SSS Big Daddy 10 Lakhs GTD posted 10.26 Lakhs in prize money through 513 entries (273 unique, 62 re-entries, and 178 re-buys). Seasoned MTT pro Neeraj ‘SelfClaimedPros’ Kumar took down the event for 1.64 Lakhs, following a heads-up deal with ‘ranksster’ (runner-up for 1.61 Lakhs).

PokerBaazi

The Sunday bonanza on PokerBaazi, the BSS SuperStack 25 Lakhs GTD, saw a field of 550 entries (288 unique and 262 re-entries) accumulating 27.50 Lakhs in the prize pool. Neel ‘Worm33’ Joshi, who was recently in the news for finishing runner-up in the EndBoss 5 Crores GTD for a career-best 65.01 Lakhs, made headlines once again, this time for shipping the BSS SuperStack for 5.34 Lakhs. Siddhanth ‘ender’ Kripalani came in second for 3.75 Lakhs. Joshi also final tabled PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller, finishing sixth for 1.27 Lakhs.

The other headline tourney on PokerBaazi, the BSS MegaStack 10 Lakhs GTD, just about managed to surpass its advertised guarantee and collected a 10.25 Lakhs prize pool on the back of 410 participants (228 unique and 182 re-entries). The MegaStack crowned a champion in ‘SaniyaIND’ who took home 2.15 Lakhs in first-place prize money, after besting ‘thejoker’ (runner-up for 1.51 Lakhs) heads-up.

Adda52

Similar to Spartan Poker’s Millionaire series, Adda52 has also been hosting its weekly Full House 1 Crore GTD every Sunday. Last night, the flagship tourney failed to meet its listed guarantee and fell short by 3.65 Lakhs, after logging in 1,927 entries (Day 1A – 333, Day 1B – 211, Day 1C – 334, Day 1D – 385, and Day 1E – 664) across five starting flights. Anonymous user ‘grovahova’ emerged victorious and banked a mouth-watering 20 Lakhs up top. Seasoned poker pro Dhaval ‘dirtyzoso’ Mudgal has been in phenomenal form over the past few weeks. He added yet another deep run to his resume by finishing runner-up for 11.79 Lakhs.

Another online reg Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma sailed past a 345-strong entry field (207 unique and 138 re-entries) in the AOPS Panjim 35 Lakhs GTD, and bagged a winner’s paycheque worth 8.75 Lakhs. Young Gun Ujjwal ‘fourteenk’ Narwal finished runner-up for 5.30 Lakhs.

The AOPS Colva 20 Lakhs GTD was championed by Raghav ‘Raghavv’ Siddalinga who ran past a field of 965 hopefuls (532 unique and 433 re-entries) and pocketed the lion’s share of the 21.71 Lakhs prize pool worth 3.90 Lakhs, after agreeing to a heads-up deal with ‘InchWorm’ (runner-up for 3.71 Lakhs).
