While yesterday may have paled in comparison to April 19 that had crowned India’s biggest-ever online winner in Abhishek Maheshwari, PokerBaazi’s EndBoss champion, it was, nevertheless, still an action-packed affair.

There was explosive action underway at Adda52 that hosted the Sunday mega tourney – Full House 1 Crore GTD – for the very first time. The event logged in 2,526 entries (Day 1A 516, Day 1B – 315, Day 1C – 430, Day 1D – 426 and Day 1E – 839) on its inaugural run through five starting flights, generating a massive 1.26 crores prize pool, and the top 230 places were paid. A total of 231 runners had progressed to Day 2 that played out yesterday, and following the elimination of ‘avenuea’, the remaining 230 players were ITM. Piercing his way through the reg-infested field was MTT pro Chirag ‘cs56’ Sodha, who defeated Vinay ‘vinay0902’ Rajpal (runner-up for 12.49 Lakhs) heads-up to clinch the title and a new personal-best 25 Lakhs in prize money. Sodha, who is a former Spartan Poker Millionaire champion, now has over 2.50 Crores in recorded online winnings.

Adda52’s Millions 20 Lakhs GTD was another marquee tourney on the site that comfortably cruised past its advertised guarantee, registering 319 entries making for a prize pool of 31.90 Lakhs. Online regular Sanat ‘mehro2511’ Mehrotra was crowned the champion for 6.67 Lakhs, just as Piyush ‘piyushverma’ Verma finished second for 6.13 Lakhs, following a heads-up deal.

Former Adda52 team pro Kunal ‘KunalPatni’ Patni ran past a field of 812 hopefuls (457 unique and 337 re-entries) in the Big Slick 15 Lakhs GTD. He bagged the most significant portion of the 17.86 Lakhs prize pool worth 2.80 Lakhs after a heads-up chop with Rishab ‘rish1994’ Malik (runner-up for 2.70 Lakhs).

Spartan Poker’s Ultimate Value Series (UVS) came to smashing close last night, and headlining the Sunday line-up was the UVS#48 Millionaire Lite 35 Lakhs GTD. The latest Millionaire Lite logged in 3443 entries (Day 1A 998, Day 1B 909 and Day 1C – 1,536), resulting in a prize pool collection of 51.69 Lakhs. Danny ‘Danny132’ Desai traversed the colossal field and locked horns with former IPC champion Siddharth ‘Sidddhu’ Mundada for the top honors. Desai, who had won the Destiny Junior earlier this month, entered the exclusive Millionaire club winning 12.92 Lakhs. Mundada took home 5.68 Lakhs in second-place prize money.

Rahul ‘Thakur615’ Thakur, who had won the Night Rider on back-to-back days on April 23 and 24 respectively, topped the UVS leaderboard and received 1.2 Lakhs in bonus money for his consistency.

The weekly extravaganza on Spartan Poker, the Sunday SuperStack 50 Lakhs GTD, ran its usual course. A prize pool worth 51.50 Lakhs was generated through 1,030 entries (471 unique, 197 re-entries, and 362 re-buys). In the end, a player with the online moniker Kaushik ‘kgjadoo’ Ghosh took down the tourney to win 9.82 Lakhs. Online phenom Anant ‘Pro’ Purohit fell one spot short of the title and finished runner-up for 6.06 Lakhs. This was another feather in Purohit`s cap, who happens to be one of the most successful MTT pros in the country presently with over 4.5 Crores in recorded online winnings.

PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack 25 Lakhs GTD saw Rajat ‘happyfish’ Mahajan juggernaut to the top of the 686-strong entry field (341 unique and 345 re-entries) and capture the title along with the top prize worth 6.33 Lakhs. Shashank ‘Westworld’ Jain, who has been wreaking havoc on the virtual felts lately, finished runner-up for 4.44 Lakhs. Jain also final tabled Adda52’s Full House Finale (9th for 1.40 Lakhs) and PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller (5th for 1.27 Lakhs). In fact, throughout April, Jain has picked up eight final table scores, all of six-figures, which includes three titles. Even his career-best online score of 11.81 Lakhs came in Spartan Poker’s Destiny 40 Lakhs GTD on April 22.

PokerStars India’s Sunday Special – INSCOOP Edition 20 Lakhs GTD collected a prize pool of 22.45 Lakhs on the back of 449 entries (262 unique and 187 re-entries). Philip ‘minisha_lamba’ Jude had a memorable Sunday as he defeated PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer ‘ballistik310’ Singh Chadha heads-up to win his first-ever online title and a personal-best 3.54 Lakhs in prize money. Chadha walked away with 1.98 Lakhs for placing runner-up.

The Sunday Highroller 20 Lakhs GTD also pulled in a commendable field of 218 entries (127 unique and 91 re-entries), resulting in a prize pool generation of 21.80 Lakhs. ‘checcm@te’ emerged victorious for 3.08 Lakhs, following a three-way deal with ‘rauflala’ (runner-up for 3.48 Lakhs) and ‘iamhunting’ (3rd for 3.17 Lakhs).
