What a phenomenal Sunday it was! Every single leading online poker site had some massive tourneys on offer, and we saw six players becoming Millionaires last night. And the one player who reigned supreme over everyone else was PokerGuru Ambassador Faiz Alam! Playing under the moniker ‘TheInternetKid’ on Adda52, Alam championed the biggest event on offer last night! With the Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) coming to an end, the AOPS Main Event Finale ₹2 Crores GTD was the talk of poker town. Bringing an end to the proceedings was Alam, who bested Rahul ‘rahulpalawat’ Jain heads-up to secure the jaw-dropping ₹50 Lakhs payday. The runner-up locked in ₹26 Lakhs for his second-place finish.

Former Young Gun Kanishka ‘kanishka27’ Samant took down the AOPS Mega Suits ₹40 lakhs GTD for ₹9.53 Lakhs yesterday, while Pankaj ‘PankajGul’ Gulati came in second for ₹5.47 Lakhs. The tourney registered a packed field of 829 entries (426 unique and 403 re-entries), generating a prize pool worth ₹41.45 Lakhs.

The AOPS Big Slick ₹20 Lakhs GTD was another big draw last night, and the tourney brought together 909 hopefuls (535 unique and 374 re-entries), generating a prize pool worth ₹20.45 Lakhs. Loveleen ‘pharlap’ Singh outlasted ‘i4uvarma’ (runner-up for ₹3.14 Lakhs) heads-up to walk away with the top prize of ₹4.26 Lakhs.

Where Adda52 was hosting the AOPS, Spartan Poker saw the Spartan Super Series (SSS) hit the mid-way mark. Headlining last night’s action on the platform was the SSS The Millionaire X5 1 Million to Top 5 that had accrued 1,943 entries, resulting in a prize pool collection of ₹97.15 Lakhs. Out of the 235 runners who made it to Day 2, only 200 were slated to finish in the money. The top five players who ultimately triumphed over the star-studded field to lock in the colossal top prize of ₹10 Lakhs each were Vinayak ‘tuktuki’ Bajaj, Siddarth ‘PeterPunter’ Singhvi, Arjun Singh ‘avengers906’ Kochhar, AnishTheWitche007Grover and Kavish ‘Dietchips’ Kukreja. Incidentally, Singhvi also final tabled two big-ticket events on Adda52, namely the AOPS Main Event Finale (8th for ₹3.50 Lakhs) and the AOPS Big Slick (7th for ₹51,131).

Meanwhile, the SSS#19 Sunday SuperStack ₹40 Lakhs GTD clocked in 819 entries (372 unique, 157 re-entries and 290 re-buys) to just about surpass its advertised guarantee with a prize pool collection of ₹40.95 Lakhs. In the end, anonymous user ‘pomizomymy’ shipped the event for ₹7.85 Lakhs.

The PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) finally concluded on March 14 with Sandeep ‘Pokcey’ Singh taking down the PPL#58 The MoneyMaker ₹1 Crore GTD for a monstrous payout of ₹18.30 Lakhs. The PPL may have ended, but the PokerBaazi Monthly Series (PMVS) is just started picking up momentum. On Sunday night, the series crowned a champion in PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun ‘thepokeraja’ Mahesh, who won the PMVS#19 Main Event SuperStack ₹35 Lakhs GTD, banking an impressive ₹6.95 Lakhs in prize money. The tourney logged in 769 participants (431 unique and 338 re-entries) and posted a prize pool of ₹38.45 Lakhs. Mahesh trounced the field, which included defeating Rohit ‘acesinyourfaces’ Setia (runner-up for ₹4.87 Lakhs) heads-up to clinch the title.

Over at PokerStars India, The UFC KO Series played host to the Main Event ₹50 Lakhs GTD on Sunday. The Main Event pulled in 630 entrants (342 unique and 288 re-entries), falling ₹5.90 Lakhs short of the break-even mark.
