It was a star-studded affair on the online felts this past Sunday as some of the biggest names in the domestic circuit came out to play the various high-value tournaments including Team PokerStars India Pros Aditya Agarwal and Muskan Sethi along with Kartik Ved, Young Guns Abhinav Iyer, Vivek Singh and Akshay Nasa among others.
For a second consecutive week, the Baazi Super Sunday (BSS) ₹15 Lakhs GTD SuperStack on India’s most trusted poker site PokerBaazi, overshot its guarantee with the prize pool touching ₹15.40 Lakhs and taking home the lion`s share of the kitty was ‘IconicSJ’, who banked ₹3.08 Lakhs for his victory. Akshay ‘sherlock52’ Nasa crushed the BSS PLO ₹5 Lakhs GTD event for ₹1.75 Lakhs, while Young Gun Vivek ‘Nutpeddling729’Singh won the BSS MegaStack ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.20 Lakhs.
The poker stalwarts Agarwal and Sethi were seen in action in the Sunday Special ₹15 Lakhs GTD hosted on PokerStars India. While the pros finished seventh (Agarwal) and 10th (Sethi) respectively, it was Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved (cover image) who stole the show and claimed the top prize of ₹2.89 Lakhs. ‘unlucky2k’ shipped the Sunday Storm ₹3 Lakhs GTD pocketing ₹46,165 and ‘infinitesuns’won the Sunday Stars ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹40,397. Vikram ‘Prison M!ke’Singh received ₹21,848 for winning the Sunday Warm-Up ₹1 Lakhs GTD.
The Sunday Grind series on MadOverPoker was headlined by ‘UnderWood’ who won two titles – Dynamite for ₹36,218 and NightCrawler for ₹23,000. Meanwhile, ‘rohit0660’(Grenade for ₹33,120) and ‘honeysingh’(Madhouse for ₹12,928) took down the other featured events.
The Khelo365 Colossal Leaderboard challenge which had begun on July 30 has now entered the final leg with the race to the finish line intensifying. The current overall leaderboard toppers are ‘rockysingh’ (Gold Leaderboard with 1,18,095 points) who received ₹1 Lakh this week, ‘PrAnKster’(Silver Leaderboard with 29,972 points) who won ₹60,000 and ‘Chetan666’(Bronze Leaderboard with 15,399 points) who took home ₹22,000.
