It was quite a thrilling Sunday as all the major poker sites came out all guns blazing! Spartan Poker’s SVS The Millionaire Lite saw 209 players return for Day 2 from a starting field of 2,472 entries (999 unique, 390 re-entries, and 1,083 rebuys), and distributed a prize pool of ₹37.08 Lakhs. After several hours of intense battle, seasoned pro Chirag ‘chilling’ Sodha emerged victorious, becoming the latest player to join the Millionaire’s club, and banked a colossal ₹10 Lakhs for his win!

Comprising the likes of Vinay ‘Netflixxed’ Bk (3rd for ₹3.02 Lakhs), Dhirendra ‘dhiru91’ Kumar (5th for ₹1.44 Lakhs), Manish ‘thekid’ Lakhotia (6th for ₹88,992), Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mahboobani (7th for ₹59,328) and PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Donkey 07’ Munot (9th for ₹44,496), the Millionaire LITE final table was not an easy field to navigate. However, Sodha persisted on and eventually defeated ‘Boller’ (runner-up for ₹5.41 Lakhs) heads-up, before clinching his very first Millionaire title! With this win, Sodha’s recorded online winnings have crossed the ₹2 Crore-mark (₹2.05 Crores).

With a lot going on across all major platforms the other regular Sunday flagships did take a slight beating. One such event was the Sunday SuperStack ₹35 Lakhs GTD on Spartan Poker – which had to fill in an overlay of ₹70,000 after gathering 686 entries (320 unique, 141 re-entries and 225 re-buys). The Millionaire Legends champion from November 2019, Anish ‘Illusionist’ Patra took down the event after besting Rishab ‘rishabjain1983’ Jain (runner-up for ₹4.27 Lakhs) heads-up. Patra took home a hefty ₹6.77 Lakhs payday.

PokerBaazi had a lot going on as well with the PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) closing out another smashing edition last night. The much-awaited PPL#58 The MoneyMaker ₹1 Crore GTD rounded up 1,076 entries (592 unique and 484 re-entries) across three starting flights, leading to a prize pool collection of ₹1.07 Crores. The play ended once the nine-player final table was formed, and it was Sandeep ‘PoKcey’ Singh who bagged the most massive stack of 3,332,755, while ‘Sammybigstac’ (2,945,651) and Jai ‘jksisme’ Saha (2,561,350), rounded out the top three stacks. The final table will now resume play at 6 PM on March 14 at the PokerBaazi LIVE poker room onboard Casino Pride 2.

The biggest winner on PokerBaazi last night was Rohit ‘ChubbyGhost’ Begwani, who shipped the PPL#59 BSS SuperStack ₹35 Lakhs GTD for ₹7.80 Lakhs, while Rohan ‘AnshAA’ Soman finished runner-up for ₹5.46 Lakhs. The event logged in 892 entries (501 unique and 391 re-entries), generating a prize pool of ₹44.60 Lakhs.

Adda52 once again created a ruckus in the community, and this time it was related to the AOPS Mega Suits Finale ₹50 Lakhs GTD. After all the three starting flights had been completed, the company sent out an email to all the participants stating that due to a technical error, players had been un-registered from the Mega Suits Finale and that the event would not be taking place. The buy-ins were to be refunded to the players’ Adda52 account according to the email. As expected, this led to a lot of hue and cry. As it turned it, it was a glitch in the site’s system that sent the email erroneously to players. The event played out at 10 PM last night and eventually crowned a champion in PokerGuru Ambassador Jayjit ‘pokerminator’ Ray, who outlasted his stablemate Rohit ‘rohit22rm’ Mishra (runner-up for ₹7.33 Lakhs) to claim the ₹10.26 Lakhs top prize!

Young Gun Gaurav ‘gauravarod’ Sood seems to be running in GOD mode at the moment and was once again in top form last night. He ran past a field of 342 entrants (193 unique and 149 re-entries) in Adda52’s AOPS Millions ₹35 Lakhs GTD to walk away with ₹8.75 Lakhs in first-place prize money. Fellow Young Gun Ujjwal ‘fourteenk’ Narwal had to settle for a second-place payout of ₹5.30 Lakhs. The event suffered an overlay of ₹80,000.

Meanwhile, the AOPS Big Slick ₹20 Lakhs GTD pulled in 948 entries (526 unique and 422 re-entries), posting a prize pool worth ₹21.33 Lakhs.‘av_rims’ came out on top to win the title and ₹4.71 Lakhs. The Sunday Special Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD on PokerStars India registered a field of 302 runners (165 unique and 137 re-entries), creating a prize pool of ₹15.10 Lakhs. Seasoned pro Raghav ‘OMGZ_ITS_RB’ Bansal topped the field to win ₹2.82 Lakhs with PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘chipcharity999’ Munot finishing second for ₹1.63 Lakhs.

9stacks’ Sunday extravaganza, the Sunday Kill PKO ₹5 Lakhs GTD, drew 188 entries resulting in a sizeable overlay of ₹1.24 Lakhs. Another familiar name, Anmolraj Singh ‘tottenham’ Chawla championed the event for ₹78,249.
