In anticipation of the upcoming festival of lights, the online felts too were sizzling with action.

Welcoming Diwali with aplomb was PokerStars India with its Diwali Rush series which kicked off on October 28 and will run till November 5. Comprising of 34 events, the series boasts of a combined guaranteed prize pool of ₹1.5 Crores. Featuring a ₹30 Lakh GTD Main Event, the series will also give away a Platinum Pass worth $30,000 (₹22,01,850) to the PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em (PSPC) Championship to be held in the Bahamas in January 2019 through a special promotion.

The highest value tournament of the Diwali Rush series this past Sunday was the Diwali Rush Sunday Special ₹20 Lakhs GTD which crowned a winner in Kiwishiviwho pocketed an impressive ₹3.80 Lakhs for his win. ‘WaitJumpKill’ won the Diwali Rush Bigstack Turbo ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹41,226. Diwali Rush Sunday Supersonic ₹1.50 Lakhs GTD was crushed by ‘BiggggTymeR’ who banked ₹35,069 for his victory. ‘anandsankar’ and ‘500 FOX’ won the Diwali Rush Warm Up ₹1.50 Lakhs GTD for ₹31,050 and Diwali Rush Deep Hyper Progressive KO ₹1 Lakh GTD for ₹14,987 (Bounty – ₹13,056) respectively.

Additionally, ‘allezjuju’ took down the Sunday Storm ₹3 Lakhs GTD on PokerStars India for ₹58,908 and Alok VotaryoftheLaw’ Ranjan placed first in the Sunday Stars ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹48,682 and ‘samdaddy1991’ won the Sunday Warm-Up for ₹15,059.

India’s most trusted poker site, PokerBaazi, also doled out the big bucks and Young Gun Abhinav ‘griezmann’ Iyer trailblazed to the top in the BSS ₹15 Lakhs GTD SuperStack to win a cool ₹3.00 Lakhs.
